Jinding went to see Yang Fan to tell him what the Xue family has been doing. In actual fact, they are siblings and to take revenge for their family, Yang Fan decided to let Jinding and gave her a secret letter. On her way back, Jinding knocked into Fan Wu and dropped the letter. Fan Wu kindly picked up the letter for her. Fan Hong received news that the old Tribe leader had passed on and wondered about it. Yinglong helped Jinlian look for fortune telling books and created a romantic ambience for her to make her happy. Yihu felt that he was using underhand methods.

Fan Wu told Lihua that Jinding is a Xiliang girl but Jinding denied it. Dingshan happened to walk past and helped Jinding but Fan Wu was unhappy. Shimin tried to test the relationship between Dingshan and Lihua and luckily Lihua managed to cover up well. Using the rain as an excuse, Shimin forced Dingshan and Lihua to spend the night at his place. Lihua noticed Daozong peeping outside their door and pretended to be a loving couple with Dingshan. However, they accidentally knocked into each other and kissed and the two sprang away from each other in shock. However, they kept thinking about the kiss. Xiantong pressed Lihua about the details of the overnight stay and is convinced that she has fallen in love with Dingshan.

Shimin complimented Lihua on improving the army but Lihua said that the improvement is due to the Xue family and Yaojin and Shimin was further impressed with her. After Shimin returned to the capital, Dingshan and Lihua both started liking each other. Jinlian found out about her brother’s feelings and advised him to come to an early decision. Lihua admitted that she has fallen for Dingshan, and Dingshan felt likewise, so he decided to break off with Jinding. Jinding knew the reason for Dingshan’s visit and before he can say anything, she started crying and telling him the reason why she bought an identical necklace as Lihua’s. She held on to Dingshan tightly, refusing to let go. Lihua knew that Dingshan could not bear to talk to Jinding about the break and she returned the necklace to him.
