I wonder why FBB is always the "victim" of so many romance rumors? And why'd the press pick WXB this time instead of, say, Li Zong Han? I do remember the one with her and Julian Cheung, but FBB said she knew her limits since Julian already has a girlfriend, Anita Yuen.

I like Li Jing Rong and Li Zong Han In here, them two is so funny and cute, always fight. hahahha, I try to capture more of his picture.

You right they are rumour about Julian and Bing Bing and Bing Bing said that Julian is has a girlfriend already this is possitive not true. Yup Bing Bing is always a victim. those journalist always write something rumour like that.

    Hiya All!

Haven't posted in ages in this forum. Have just finished watching Young Justice Bao II...not impressed with it. Bao Cheng was shown to have some nasty qualities and FBB's acting was too over the top. Some of the cases weren't as smart as Young Justice Bao's either. Hope III either adopts I standard or improves from II.

Can't wait to see this one...although officially it's not titled Justice Bao III (wonder why?). My videostore still hasn't got this series! Can you believe that! I have to wait until June semester break then. Uni starts again soon, I'm overloading, so I won't have time to see this apparently good series...grrrr.

I'm currently watching "Young Justice Bao" and am absolutely loving it!!! The cast is great, with my favorites being Chen Dao Ming as ba wang ye, Wang Hui Chun as Pang tai shi, and Shi Xiao Long as Zhan Zhao. Zhou Jie makes a pretty good Bao Zheng, too. The most annoying character has to be Pang Fei Yan, though. It sucks that you didn't enjoy part II very much. I was planning to watch it on account of how good part I is. What role does FBB play in part II? She's also in this part III, but in a different role or the same one?

I hope the cases are interesting in part III 'cause I may just skip II and head straight to III whenever I happen to finish part I.

I've finished watching part I and have started on this part III now. The style is pretty different, since this one doesn't split cases up like part I did. So far, Wang Xue Bing isn't too convincing as Bao Zheng, but maybe it's because I'm used to Zhou Jie. WXB is a block of wood...he's not playful, funny, and doesn't seem smart or witty at all. Who played Ba Xian Wang and Pang Tai Shi in part II? In here, it's Chen Bao Guo and Wang Gang, respectively. Both are veteran actors as well, but it's just not the same without Chen Dao Ming and Wang Hui Chun. Although he's a good actor, Wang Gang just doesn't have the intimidating and powerful presence of Wang Hui Chun. Zhan Zhao with hair...now that's new to me too. Li Zong Han is all right, but he's not cute like Shi Xiao Long. Ren Quan was a decent Gongsun Ce, but looks-wise, I prefer Li Jin Rong. I'll see how his acting in here is, though. Whatever happened to Chu Chu and Pang Fei Yan?

    Young Justice Bao II:

Although the Spcnet review of II is quite favourable,

    http://www.spcnet.tv/china_youngdetective2b.shtml

I believe it would've been worth skipping. Plot and characterisation of II seemed like a poor shadow of I. In I, there was originality and made your heart wrench in sympathy with antagonist and protagonist alike. In II, there was repetition (e.g. person more than once 'mysteriously' vanished from a room when there were no obvious escape roots)...although the way they disappeared turned out quite ingenius, the idea was sort of done to death; the tragedy factor was so excessive that it became melodramatic (e.g. victim was poisoned, clubbed in the back, poisoned again, then struck in the head before he finally died); worst was the characterisation of Bao Cheng. It was particularly annoying when nearly everyone he met or hadn't met had to tell him how intelligent he was. It was like, hey, we get the picture, don't need to repeat it ten thousand times...becomes mighty redundunt. And I found his 'use' of Xiao Qing Ting quite despicable. Not really a term to describe Bao Cheng with, but that's what they did with his character. Everytime he would use her shamelessly, in often quite life threatening cases, and not once did I see one serious, heartfelt thankyou. Yes he was once thoughtful enough to request a desired painting for her or attempt to clear her god father's name...but there was never any meaningful follow scene/conversation accompanying the gift. It was always this rather blase 'I know you know' situation. He was more often than not, never taking her seriously as a person, sending her off to a mission, or picking on her. It cast Bao Cheng in a very bad light and made Xiao Qing Ting quite weak. I especially thought the scene when Bao Cheng made Xiao Qing Ting re-enact a crime situation (which turned out unnecessarily as he already worked it out) rather crude. Bao Cheng actually ganged up together with Gong Suen Che to laugh at her. I thought it was cruel and beneath Bao Cheng.

Fan Bing Bing played Xiao Qing Ting in II. She was 'supposed' to be Bao Cheng's love interest, but as aforementioned, she seemed far from that. She looked like the victimized clown to me. You could call her weak for always allowing Bao Cheng to manipulate her, yet you had to admire her ability to 'see the big picture' and help out in the end. Fan Bing Bing overplayed her character in II, but during her moments of 'quietus', you could see the brilliance she showed in portrayal of Yun Lei in Ping Zhong Xiao Ying. Believe me, it's quite a contrast. It was very endearing though how she always waltzed in and out of the prison.

I've often compared the popularity/success of Bao Qing Ting and Young Justice Bao. After watching I & II of Young Justice Bao, I realise that they would never be able to emulate the wildfire success of Bao Qing Ting, plainly because it is not as mult-dimensional as the latter. Where Young Justice Bao prioritises on crime/mystery (at the expense of other thematic factors), Bao Qing Ting is flavoured with a plethora of themes (crime/mystery, patriotism, love, hate, religion, philosophy, and more). Us as an audience being as complex and multi-dimensional in thought and understanding as we are, would certainly find the multi-faceted Bao Qing Ting to be more appealing and meaningful. IMO anyway.

Just a divergence before I'm off...it's so frustrating when I can so easily go on and on about a film/series and yet find starting a simple little essay so difficult. Seriously think there is some short of short-circuit in my 'writing skills' neural network. Oh well, I'll just have to imagine every essay topic to be a film/series...couldn't stop me writing then.

Wow, I just read the reviews on YJB II on SPCNET and they're both quite favorable and very different from what I've been hearing from other people who've also seen the series. However, I disagree with several points of Gin's analysis of YJB I, so I don't know if I'd agree with her(?) views on part II if I watched it. For one thing, she said that Pang Tai Shi wasn't villainous enough. Personally, that's one of the reasons I liked his character so much, and especially in the scenes with Fei Yan. No one is perfectly evil or perfectly nice, which the series did a nice job of illustrating. I do have to agree with her about Fei Yan, though. She was annoying about 99% of the time she appeared on-screen. At least Chu Chu toned down and matured as the series progressed, as she started off pretty wild too.

Now back to JLTX, since this is, after all, its thread...

I'm up to episode 23 now. I still don't like Wang Xue Bing as Bao Zheng or really even Wang Xue Bing as an actor, period. His hypnotized state was almost no different from his usual cardboard state. There was one part when Gongsun Ce and Zhan Zhao dressed up as this silly father-son duo and I had to do a doubletake as I couldn't believe it was actually them! Li Jin Rong and Li Zong Han were absolutely hilarious! Now I feel kind of bad for bashing Li Zong Han earlier; my opinion of him has changed after seeing him in this role as Zhan Zhao. I'm still not too fond of his looks, but his acting skills are impressive. Li Jin Rong is just...hot.

i prefer Li Zong Han over WXB, really!
i mean, just look at the two(FBB and LZH) together, they look so cute!!!
i prefer their scenes together. i thought the scene where LZH has to dress up as a girl was hilarious!! also the scene where LZH and FBB get frightened by bugs!!! wahahahaha!!!
i knew you would come to like LZH LZ, hehe.

i watched both YJB 1 and 2, and i honestly likec the 2 of them. 1 is more serious and scholarly, while 2 is leaning towards comedy, so you really can't compare the 2 of them, they are meant to be enjoyed on their own, though i must admit, out of the 3, Zhou Jie is the best Bao Zheng!
so do watch part 2 LZ!!!

    !
Yes, FBB and LZH do look really cute together, especially when he carries her on his back. Unfortunately, it seems like she likes WXB (Bao Zheng) more and treats LZH more like a brother. I hope she'll come to her senses soon. I'm not sure if I've come to like LZH or just his character in this series. We'll see.

What episode are you on now?

At least you're more disciplined than me. I'm up to episode 34. It's a case involving medication, so I'm kinda sorta "studying" something relevant to my studies.

I actually still have about 10+ episodes to go in QWLSM, so I should probably finish watching that after JLTX. It's just that I've gotten so into these ancient mystery series lately that I can't stop watching 'em. After that, I will watch "Yue Shang Jiang Nan - Di Ren Jie Xi Yuan Lu". It's Xiao Hai ge ge's newest released series. I saw one episode to get a sneak peek and it seems pretty good. Unfortunately, Wang Xue Bing is in it as well and gets more screentime than Shen Xiao Hai.

I like part 2 than part 1, but the story of part 3 is very good. I like Bing Bing a lot in here, her acting is very tallent also she is very funny in here, totally different in part 2. Part 3 is very interesting than the two previous part. But part 2 have cute guy like Lu Yi, Ren Quan, Sik Xiao Long, but Part 3 in here i like Li ZOng Han and Li Jing Rong, Of course Bing Bing is my favorite one.

Do you like part 2 more just because FBB is in it? Just wondering... I like LBB and FBB and liked part 1 and 2 about the same. I hope that part 3 will be good.
Respect other people's opinions and views. If we learn how to do that than all of these fights and arguments will not occur.

I only have 4 more episodes to go in part III, so I hope I can finish watching it today.
