Sheren was the female lead in that she ended up with Alex Man at the end, but I think the biggest female role was Carrie Ng Kar Lai's as Cheung Bo Chai. She starts off arrogant and spoiled, wanting to steal Alex Man from his wife Sheren, but later learns a lot about friendship, love and accepts that Alex will only love his wife. She tragically dies fighting Mandy Wong, trying to protect someone or something. I think it was her first major role in TVB too (she had a small bit role in DGSD 81). She never did do well in TVB for some reason and found more fame on the big screen. This was also the first serial I watched Michael To Tai Yue as a villain too, the first of a large number of villanous roles before he finally broke through into the lead roles in the mid 90s in a similar way to Joe Ma (although Michael did have one supporting hero role with Michael Miu in "United we Stand").
