Saw this new serial on cable starring tan yao wen, kenix kwok and liu zhaoming...I think Tan Yao Wen (Patrick Tham, he acted in west side story as you ya yu's father) comes from a rich family. In the first episode, he promised to help a senior whose magazine company was in dire straits to get thru a difficult financial period. his father and girlfriend went by the books because yao wen's family owes the finance company and he fail to help his friend. his friend attempted suicide. Where I stop, because yao wen was so unhappy, he went to a bar to drink and accidentally got invlolved with drugs when a young girl drop some drugs into his pocket.

anyone knows this serial?

hmMM...i watched this a long time ago..so i kant remember it clearly. but im pretty sure it wasnt a sad ending. i mean...it was sad for like...that last few min..but at the LAST min, i think it was a happy ending? lol. i think...

Yeah it was a happy ending I think the ending was like Patrick going to the hospital or something to go visit Kenix and about to leave then she comes rushing out to him and they live happilly ever after!

They live happily ever after? I was watching tat show and was realli hoping they wiuld end up together...but i thot Kenix forgot hu Patrick was?

yeah, i think she did...since she went krazee at the end. but then in like the last few minutes, she was looking at pictures or sumthing and she suddenly remembered everything. so she walked out, saw patrick, they hugged, and it ended. yep.

I liked the conversation between bowie and gigi, the one when gigi told him to be a good boy and listen to what she says.

i am glad that the ending is good...at least kenix remembered who is patrick and in the end they hugged...if the scene just end with them looking at each other,that would b incomplete...a hug will give it a perfect ending...

anyway,thanks for the info and by the way,anyone know where to dload the theme song for this serial...i find the lyrics very touching and suits the serial as well....

This was an enjoyable serie and the casting was nice. The kids did really cute jobs in here though I wanted more with the kids who stayed in the place more permanately. It was great seeing Patrick and Kenix pair again. They also still have their chemistry yet if only Patrick didn't look/act so akward throughout the serie it would be better. Its obvious he has more talent then that. Hehe, themesong was really nicely sung as well :thumbsup

Going to see this series REAL soon. Is it anygood without giving too much away? Like whats the series like and if its good HOW good? sorry if im not making much sense but after a few disappointing series i was wondering if this was gonna be a good or bad one.

Summary:

Patrick Tam is the son of a rich man, and the boyfriend of Anne Heung, a lawyer. He works in his father's finance company. A brush with the law causes him to do 240 hours of community service at a children's home. At the home, he comes into contact with social worker Kenix Kwok, who is very dedicated to her job. As Patrick continues to help out at the home, he finds himself re-evaluating his priorities in life.

I think this is quite a decent series. It touches on issues concerning children that you wouldn't normally see in a TVB series. Anne sort of fit her role to a T, lol. Aside from that annoying hairstyle, Kenix was believable as the enthusiastic, dedicated social worker who cares a lot for her wards. Patrick's character development was pretty decent in the serial.
