surferket, i must say, gyy's fanboyz are very much normal human beings. it's her fangirls like myself who are more likely to stir trouble. but just look at her performance in hsds! it's superb for a first timer, so when fanboyz of other stars say that she can't act any better than lyf (omg! that's blasphemy) then i go into fangirl rage mode.

Yah I agree. GYY fanboyz are very sane and normal human beings and we don't go ape whenever some ignorant uncivilised savages make disparaging remarks about GYY. She was an absolute scene stealer in HSDS.
It was her hypnotic eyes that mesmerised me.

GYY was okay in HSDS. Alyssa was the one that caught my eyes. But Alyssa did get the better role.

i have to agree with this...but i think i enjoyed her performance partially because of her characterization...they made zzr much more human and you can see her internal struggles. although i also like alyssa (unlike you, crazy fanboy)...and was rooting for alyssa near then end, however, after zzr redeemed herself, i wanted zwj to marry both ladies or at least say that he loved her too! what a lucky punk.

yeah, i know i'm late, but no, i didn't finish the series yet. i think i have about 3-4 discs left to go.

oh yeah, there was a tear-jerker part that really stood out for me. this was when ZWJ was on guangming peak after he'd been stabbed by ZZR and his 6th uncle was going to kill him. they find out it's him and everyone's was like WTF!

can't wait to finish the series sometime this coming week. now, if only they had LOCH 2003 w/english subs (non-d-addicts version)!

Alyssa's ZM was pretty average imo..pretty, adorable and that's abt it. Her expressions were limited as compared to GYY who was newer to the scene. I just felt that Alyssa's portrayal of ZM was rather flat, especially in the middle towards the end and was too whiny for my liking. Gigi Lai's still my favourite ZM for now.

i know...but there was a time when both got along quite well on the island. and if both get to be next to the man they love for life, maybe....big fat maybe it might work out. then they'll kill each other one month later.

but darn, gyy did a great job...extremely beautiful too while alyssa was spunky and lovable towards the latter half. i hated her in the first half.

I agree about Alyyssa. She made a pretty an spunky ZM, but somehow , she didn't caputure ZM's cunningness and everything. Wonder if it was the script or not
