some of those subbed caps don't seem to make much sense.

If I remember correctly the subs were unusual when the yellow robe women spoke..............but for the most part the show had decent English to follow.

It amuses me how people view it as horrible and I view it as a miracle!!! English on a Wuxia series is a hard find.

Oh DGSD will have English in the future(it's currently on in Singapore)...........if it's aired in Singapore all the shows have english subs and maybe later a DVD has them.

That's why HSDS has English, after it aired in Singapore the English subs on DVD came out.

But surely those HSDS subs are not the ones on Singapore TV. I'd expect subs on Singapore TV to be pretty decent, like the ROCH ones.

On the back of the box cover it has the MediaCorp logo so Im assuming it's for the subtitles since they have nothing to do with making the show.

Whereas ROCH was made entirely by MediaCorp.

this series is so great because all the actresses and actors who played this series are all pretty and adorable. how can they find all these beautiful actresses?

i love when gyy turn evil. she look so good with the dark make-up.
she is so pretty i couldn't hate her for everything she does. most people i know that saw this series hated her. i feel sad for her when Mokie told her that he love Alyssia more. ahh....such an heart-breaking sence that made me shread a tear.

Alyssa played a cute and adorable charater. with that face of her she match Mokie becuse they both have baby face.

Unable to solve his own problems, there was many clues, like the scene with his Godfather explains to him in the cave, "Look at you, just like your father, but even worse, while he only got one girl, you got at least 4 to deal with." Another one the repeating history like his father loves the opposing side's daughter.He believe everyone is nice, but there is a agenda behind everything just like his mother told him "The most beautiful woman is the most untrustful woman,deadly!"

I have the full complete 40vcd boxset, I do understand mandarin. It is understandable everyone has many languages they don't understand. To answer the question yes Alec did like the 4 girls. There are Zhaoming(Mongolian) her character is very wicked/smart, the servant girl, Zhuo zi rou a girl try to get Alec diving love also forced to do things she don't want to do in making her turn evil(don't blame the poor girl),and alec's cousin zhao gu nian-her character try to protect her cousin, but understand that they are already is family so she doesn't care about true love anymore.
