I'm almost jumping for joy! mulan has been one of my most favorite stories of alll time! i cannot wait and will probably die from anticipation. GOSH IM EXCITED!

However, as much as I think Chen Kun is good, I hope someone else can play the role of General Li. Someone like Takeshi Kaneshiro or perhaps, Huang Xiao Ming, and many other talented stars.

haha I wasn't thinking the same thing. I was hoping that General Li could be portrayed by Huang Xiao Ming too. It would have been cool to see her pair up with him on screen. But I'm so excited to hear Vicki will be portraying Mulan.

Actually I like Chang Chen to be the Mongol. He and Vicki are great together onscreen and they are also good friends. As for the general, I don't mind Chen Kun, but I'm hoping it would be Takeshi or maybe a Korean actor?!?

what's sup with then Chen Kun recently ? Man, in Painted Skin he looked weak as the general. He doesn't have the charisma as being a general. Could they just find a actor that might look stronger than him in a general custom? Think about it, Vicki will look strong as Mulan and Chen Kun will look like a whim , doesn't match at all. Please, anyone but Chen Kun. Doesn't matter if it's HXM, Chen Chang, Takashi but not Chen Kun

Wah! I want Takeshi to be the general! He and Vicki would look so good together! Too bad they weren't a couple in Red Cliff. HXM's ok, but Takeshi's the better actor. Chang Chen wouldn't be bad either. So excited!

The only Korean actor collaborated with Vicki is Song Seung Heon. He appears too much a gentleman and not too military.
Ryu Jin is a tall fellow and a bit hunker-hunker, too.
Choi Soo Jong portrayed as ancient warrior/hero quite a few times, but he is getting too old and not too cute.
Lee Jong Hyuk is a possibility.
Hyun Bin has not acted in ancient costumes. He might be too much a lover boy.
Song Il Gook, imo, should be a strong candidate!

Song Il Gook would be an excellent candidate. I watched his drama, Jumong, and he was superb.

Chen Kun was celebrating a family's birthday at a restaurant then he went to a nightclub in his new Mercedes-Benz. Shortly afterward Zhao Wei and a male friend also went to the same nightclub to meet up with Chen Kun. They stayed for 2 hours. Chen Kun left first, followed by ZW and her male friend in their own Mercedes-Benz.

The news also indicates that Chen Kun will star opposite of ZW in Mulan. THe official press conference is next week (well soon).

This was just a normal press conference introducing the two main leads, Zhao Wei and Chen Kun. The official conference with the entire cast in the movie will not be revealed until later. However, it was indicated that Jaycee Chan and other international actors will also participate in this movie.

Vicki looks beautiful at the press conference! I love that outfit, and she just looks really good. Chen Kun, though. He def. has to buff up to play a general. Way too skinny right now.

How sweet that Chenkun and Vicky are good friends- I just finished watching Painted Skin and like their characters in there. (Though I admit, I was a little less impressed with their chemistry- somehow the characters didn't let ChenKun display his usual "king of melancoly" range of expressions!)
