A clue for that manual at Shao Lin would be the old sweeper monk there, he says he dropped something "somewhere". So did you find it at the end?

how do I save the game?

Press 'Esc'. A menu will come out. Select the bottom most option, another menu will come out. Choose the second option to save. If u want to load a saved game during the middle of the game, choose option 1. The last option is 'leave the game'.

You can save the game when u are inside the houses or caves. You have to come out of the game first. Remember to save the game before every fight in case you loss and die.

I've change my favourite team makeup. Here is my new one (in no particular order):

1. Duan Yu
2. Zhang Wu Ji
3. Shi Po Tian
4. Ling Hu Chong
5. Wang Yu Yan

I've drop Hu Fei because the guy is weak without Pi Li Dao Fa and Pi Li Dao Fa is hard to get. But he is useful during the middle part of the game, when everyone's stats is still low. He is pretty powerful during that stage with his 'Wu Family Sabre'.

For some reason, Miao Family Sword Manual and Reverse 2 Yi Sabre Manual are in the game, but you can't get them anyway unless you cheat. Perhaps they were items that the programmers originally wanted to put in the game but then decided not to, and the items just left there. There are many items like that in Wulin Qunxia Zhuan (the sequel).

Which dos emulator are you using? I used to play the game on my 98 and it works fine. I just downloaded a new version along with a dos emulator, and for some reason the game goes really slow when I run it with the emulator. Maybe yours will work better.

DOSbox... it's kinda slow too... but what can I do eh

Dosbox, thats what I have too, has speeding up the frames helped at all?

Dosbox's good. I use it to play most older games, including this one.
Do download D-Fend with it, so that you'll get the GUI to do the configuration for you.

Then, it means LPZ is stupid enough to learn L/R technique. Pi Xie Jian Fa + L/R technique is a formidable combination. It's power second only to Ye Qiu Quan + L/R techique. PXJF+L/R technique is the only other skill in my experince that can KO a high level fighter in 1 go. Next time I must try LPZ.

Btw. Kui Hua Bao Dian only got 1 level. It's an energy+life enhancing skill. Everytime u finish 5000 exp pts, your life u will increase 30pts (forgot how many internal energy points the skill add), then if u want to increase more, u have to accumulate another 5000 exp pts. U won't learn any skill after mastering KHBD. The same is also true for 9 Yin Zhen Jing and Shen Zhao Jing. Only 9 Yang Shen Jing has a skill acoompanying it's energy+life increase.

Well, just trying to help out a bit, but obviously not doing a very good job as evident from me totally forgetting about 'Tai Xuan Shen Gong'.

i saved miao ren feng from a group of shen long jiao members.after which he got injured in one eye i think.i was upposed to look fer this jie du wang or smt.after i got hufei n went back t him,i coudn't engage him in battle.i just told him to take care of himself while i go look fer..........any hints?
