Speaking of fire....it reminds me of this reality movie, Ladder49. The ending part is very sad and it touches the heart in a way unlike other movies. You feel sad, but deep within it holds courage.

    Jack Morrison died a hero.
The sad momentum stirrs up from the mid of the movie. The sad feeling feels so real.

The movie realistically covers the duty, the casual lifestyle, the risky life of firemen and particularly focus on the story of Jack Morrison, from a rookie fireman to a veteran, from singlehood to a father of two kids. Though, in the end, he can't escape the fate of becoming a victim trapped in the burning building, eventually dead (like his bestfriend).

    Starring Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta.

What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

"Sunset in Chaopraya" the movie was one of my fav romantic tragedies. Even though it is a Thai film, it is very moving and the ending is heart-breaking.

Tells of the political marriage between the daughter of a Thai official and a Japanese Naval officer - all during the Japanese Invasion of Thailand during WW2. He loves her with all his heart and she loves him, but she denies him repeatedly because she promised to wait for her boyfriend to return and cos he is Japanese. But then she breaksdown and they are happy for a short time until the boyfriend returns and wants her back.

Then the husband feels that his wife loves the other guy and not him, so he tries to leave. Then he gets killed, and his wife has realised that she loves him the most all along. It is such a tear-jerker.

"I Am Sam" is quite touching. It's about a mentally challenge guy who fought to get custody of his daughter.

"Changeling" The thought of losing a son and waiting for him to return home is heartbreaking.

There's more movies, but that's all I can think of for now.

I would have to say Schindler's List (it's based on a true story about a Nazi businessman who saves the lives of countless Jewish people during the Holocaust by employing them). Deeply depressing, but easily one of the most beautiful movies ever.
