QPTT ep 9 is my favorite, it's all about subtlety in Bao Bao's acting. A lot non verbal expressions with his eyes depict the changes in Zhen Feng's feeling toward Xia Shu from rejection to resigning to acceptance to total attachment.

Poor baby Zhen Feng, life has been so hard on him until he met her..

QTYM is getting better now. I just wish it was more of a challenge figuring out who the "guilty parties" are in the cases instead of focusing so much on how to trap and capture 'em.

personally, Shi Gong Qi An, the TW series from which it was based, was better(of course), but QTYM is also quite good, even if its a word per word adaptation(or is it simply a remake?) of the original one. BJF's acting simply help brighten up the series!!!

Hi Jenny! I haven't talked to you in awhile. Have you seen any interesting series of late?

Yep, I'm up to episode 21 in QTYM now and on the case involving Kang Xi, Shi Ao Shuang (played by Echo Shen), and their Long Er (very appropriately, the little actor looks a lot like Bao Bao as a kid). I'm not quite sure yet, but it seems that Kang Xi may have been erm..."raped" since he doesn't remember much at all about the fateful night when Long Er was technically created. It's weird how two out of the three cases thus far were first presented as "dreams". I thought there'd be more relationship development between Kang Xi and Xiao Yu, but it seems to have halted after the first some episodes. Maybe it'll be continued later? I don't think I'd be enjoying it as much if Bao Bao wasn't playing Kang Xi 'cause he just does such a great job encompassing the various characteristics of a young king and of course he's yummy eyecandy too. Another plus for the series is that there are a lot of familiar faces in the supporting cast...Nie Yuan, Echo Shen Ao Jun, Kou Zhen Hai, Pan Hong, Chen Long, Qin Lan and more to come (like Rebecca Wang Yan since I see her on the cover). If you still remember them, which case was your favorite?

hey LZ!!! yeah, we haven't benn able to talk for a long while, coz we have both been busy with school work.

now? i am watching a japanese tv series, SOS with Hideaki Takizawa. i recently finished Sassy Girl Chun-hyang and Xiao Yu-er yi Hua Wu Que, i have to say, that i was a bit disappointed with the latter, sheesh, everyone just died!!!

oh, regarding Kang Xi and Xiao Yu in QTYM, i think they will develop more on it in QTYM 2, coz in the original Shi Gong Qi An, Xiao Yu did indeed became one of his concubines, but only at the very end of the more than 120 ep!!!

the reason you feel disconnected watching QTYM is becoz the cases here were selected randomly from the original series, yep, the cases are not portrayed in their original chronological sequences, hence the confusion.

i am a bit disappointed over the cases that they chose to lift from the original one, IMO,they aren't the best of the lot!!!

for instance, why didn't they chose the case where Xiao Yu falls in love with a Tian Di Huey leader? that was one of the memorable cases for me, but don't worry, coz in the very last case, Kang Xi and Xiao Yu did got together, with a little help from Kang Xi's mother, Huang Tai Ho!!! haha!

there is also the case when Kang Xi suddenly remembers his love for Xiao Yu, and decides to woo her again, much to the judge's dismay, so he decides to place an official ad in the city to announce that his sister Xiao Yu is looking for a husband!!! Kang Xi was sooo jealous at that time!!! hahaha!!!
oh, i do hope htye include all those cases in QTYM 2!

I watched part of Xiao Yu Er Yu Hua Wu Que over the summer and it was all right, nothing special. I didn't get to see the ending, though. I'd prefer to watch the Jimmy Lin or Tony Leung versions.

According to jennie, Bao Bao will only have a cameo in QTYM 2, so I don't know if that'll be enough to further develop the relationship between Kang Xi and Xiao Yu.

I only have 5 more episodes to go in QTYM. There really aren't that many cases since each one takes so many episodes to fully resolve. Bao Bao hasn't gotten as much screentime since the the case involving Long Er. But, I still liked the last case involving the switched babies. There are so many more familiar faces!!! ...Wang Hui Chun, He Qing (who still looks so good for her age!), the actor that plays her son who's also in 18DTK, Yang Rui, Yan Kuan, Wang Gang, Wang Hui...
