    Default where did this cliche originate?

    what is it with Chinese stories and people falling in love only to find they are cousins? This specific "impossible love tale" has been told way too many times. Did Jin Yong pioneer this cliche with DGSD, if not who did?

    Er... cousins? Do you mean siblings? 'Cause WYY and MRF were cousins, and there seemed to be no problem with that.

    Hmmm, I think this 'Tragic story' of falling in love to find out that they are related started long ago with the Greeks and the story of Oediphus.

    I was talking about Duan Yu and cousins. Everyone he loved turned out to be his sister at first, then later his cousin.

    Just had this wierd query in the mind that may not pertain to this. If your cousin associated with you in bloodline, but in a very very distant way, is it still adverse to morality to enter an intimate realtionship with him or her?
