Viet dubbed tapes release after the Chinese ended. So 7-9 is not episodes but hours.

Why does Rain not let Bosco explain to her? Why is she so keen that he's wrong? Gosh she was being so unfair in tape 10-12

I hope the kung fu that forest man taught Bosco was not the kung fu that belonged to Power. It'd be really sad if it was.

I knew Michael was bad! He just looks cruel.
I like Winnie with her hair oriental style. She looks very cute with that one braid on the side and her bangs.

Some historical information on Wong Fei Hung

    - Wong Fei Hung (Bosco Wong) had several wives, all of whom died early. His last wife was Mok Kwai Lan (Rain Li) but he was very old when he married her. She was only a teenager when she married Wong Fei Hung. She left for Hong Kong and brought his children with her. She taught kung fu lessons in place of him.
    - Lam Sai Wing (Lee Ka Sing) really existed and was a pork butcher who was taught kung fu by Wong Fei Hung. He had the nickname "Magnificent Butcher"
    - Wong Kei Ying (Jonh Chiang) was really part of the "10 Tigers of Guangdong" and didn't want his son to take part in conflicts due to his kung fu because he was afraid he would get into big trouble and might get killed
    - Wong Fei Hung excelled in the "Lion Dance" and was known as the "King of Lions"
    - "Bo Chi Lam" was the name of the drug store that Wong Fei Hung opened to keep a low profile

It's quite interesting how most of the stuff in the series is very accurate to history. The biggest change is that Rain isn't suppose to meet Bosco until he was an old man. Haha. But if they actually did that, their relationship wouldn't be cute or romantic anymore. And most people would find it disgusting. It's also nice to see how TVB manipulated history to fit their story. The whole deal with Rain being the missing 'Mok' daughter can be credible because she was a real Mok in history.

I enjoy the series even more now that I know TVB did some research into the series.

    I ADORE this series.

I was crying when Power Chan's letters were read in the end. It was so sad. Pretty emotional and funny when everybody gathered together at the last part.

This series was a fun to watch and it was awesome.

It took me forever to finish 10-12. Lol so yeah I finished it. I'm really annoyed by Sammul's mother, gosh she's irritating. What I find really stupid is when Rain meant her long lost parents. I mean she grew up not knowing what her parents are like, had no memories of them together and etc. Why would she cry when she sees them? I never seen my grandfather since I was four, if you show me them right now I wouldn't cry but probably feel awkward and strange.

I saw bits and pieces of the ending, saw the part when Power Chan dies, so sad.

I totally agree with you bebe_girl on the Rain issue. It's quite unrealistic for her to be so emotional after meeting up with her parents for the first time. At first, I thought she would reject them as her parents since they did leave her when she was a baby but that never happened.

    Thumbs up

Good movie. I luv Bosco Wong. I don't like Rain Li dress in ancient costumes. I like her more in modern movies.

Yeah Bosco really has the look for ancient series just like in Find the Light. I don't think I've seen Rain in any other ancient series...at least I don't remember.

lol, It's been two weeks, i'm still not finished, have about 2 1/2 hours to go. But my favourite character is Bosco of course. Rain has no chemistry with anyone, i think it's due to her acting. A bit exaggerated.

After many weeks, I finally finished Wong Fei Hung. I wouldn't recommend it; it's just a typical TVB serial. Not going to bother writing a review either, it didn't leave a great effect on me. Everything was very predictable. Bosco was the best actor no doubt. I don't know anything about martial arts, but Bosco looked pretty good at it. He was just so cute in this serial, (like I mentioned) especially when he smiles. So cute, my sis loves him a lot after seeing his portrayal. Can't wait to see him paired up with Leila in SP. I surprisingly liked Winnie, I disliked her (more her character) in Square Pegs. At the start of WFH, I really liked Kenneth and Halina. But after seeing Kenneth become good, I got bored of his character and could careless what happened to him. And Halina just annoyed me after she got more screen time. Rain and Cerina needs a lot to improve on. I still haven't figured out what it is about Rain's acting but I just don't like it. Cerina should act different types of characters. As for Power Chan, he was alright. Overall, a 2/10 for me.

This is an avg series. I only watched it casue of Bosco. I hate Rain li even more now I don't get how they ended up liking each other, specially for Fei hung. Their love was so random. There weren't many scenes of them together that show how their love develop.

Cerina still is wooden along with Sammul

is the actress who played wong, fei hung's aunt a supporting actress or leading actress?

will she fall in love with wong, fei hung like in the movies as the not blood related- god-aunt (13th aunt) does in the movie 'once upon a time'?

what is michael's role? who will he fall in love with? the aunt?

david chiang dai wai grows much much older and have a chubby face in this series.
I think he is in his 50's or 60's.

he is much younger and better looking in his 80's atv drama series of 'princess cheung ping' and 'dynasty I'.

Default Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu

    Greetings Everyone!

This may be a old series in HK but from where i am from this is a fairly recent TVB series. To be honest i haven't really followed any TVB drama's for a while and this one really did catch my eye. Unfortunately i never did get a chance to learn reading chinese so i am somewhat lacking in the reading department despite being fluent in cantonese.

Anyway i will fly as straight as a arrow and get to the point

Can anyone please tell me who play's 13th Auntie......erm (sup sam yee), I have always wondered about this particular actress as she hardly ever the main character nor is she popular among the fans.

However I would be much appreciated if anyone can bestow the honour of her name (in english pls ) as i have always wondered about this unsung beauty.

BRrrrrrrrr it getting cold here i better start building a fire LOL .
