She's better looking than Wang Qian, but IMO still not that beautiful. Or maybe i'm just biased because i have my own picks for who i want in, and i think most of them are better looking than her anyway.

She's beautiful but if she looks piss off like that all the time then there might not be a lot of fan. LOL...she's a newcomer...better to look sweet, cute, and kind.

yea, she's not as beautiful as Yang Mi... i don't find her particularly attractive or sexy... the only mainland china actress that carries of sexy is Chen Zi Han... most other actresses aren't daring enought to do sexy... they're usually just pretty, or hot, or cute

I think Yang Mi should actually be A Ke, because it's unlikely anyone prettier is going to come along and play the part... although they could end up doing what they did in ROCH and in Flying Fox... make the beautiful ones less beautiful by using bad costumes....

i thought SFF was going to be the princess...

although Shu Chang would be a good princess as well. I'm pretty sure the princess has a lot of screen time compared to the other wives. I mean, a couple of them don't really do anything.

Not sure about characteristics of the princess because i've never read the novel...only base everything on the dicky's version. i could only see shu chang and YM as the priness...they look like the outgoing/giddy type. SFF looked to soft, gentle, and quiet.

The princess is very outgoing, loud, bratty etc. i prefer Yang Mi and Shu Chang rather than SFF... this is why when this thread first started and people wanted LYF to be the princess i thought... that'd be new and interesting, but somehow, really creepy. If LYF was in this she'd definitely be A Ke.

Shu Chang is definitely my no. 1 preference for shuang Er, but for some reason i doubt she'll get the part. If she doesn't my next preference would be Yang Mi, then SFF.

sighs, the only pics of the casts ZJZ has been looking for are very depressing... why anyone would choose them over Shu Chang is beyond me

I thought SFF did a pretty good job acting as a spoiled princess in Ping Zong Xia Ying, so it should be an easy reprisal if she were casted as Jian Ning.

50 episodes seems somewhat long and would be longest DOMD adaptation thus far.(Jordan Chan's 98 version was 45 episodes). Whatever the length, I hope this version gives the wives more prominent roles during the latter parts of series. In most of the previous adaptations, they become more or less vase figurines after marriage. On a sidenote, does anyone know what the budget for this series will be?

But she may finish filming before August, which is when DOMD starts filming. ZJZ apparently expressed his likeness for her and she mentioned in an interview with sina that she wants to play Ah Ke.

BTW, Yu Min, who is going to direct DOMD has just said that he will not cast Shu Chang in the series (as many people had hoped for) and that Yang Mi is not a confirmed cast as well.

I find this ridiculous but there are news that Zhang Jing Ying (the lady who sung the opening theme for ROCH06) would be playing one of the wives and Yu Min has said that she, like YM, is not a confirmed cast. This is quite silly since she's a singer, not an actress and she definitely does not have the looks, it's rather absurb that they would eliminate Shu Chang and consider her.
