I can safely say we might have XLN's stuntsperson as 1 of the wives again you ought to consider he is going to waste money on approximately 10 unwanted and not going to be broadcasted/sold episodes which will agag result in another round of catastrophic, psychotic, senseless, unimaginable editing.

I wonder if maybe they pay the editors too much that's why he is trying so hard to make them work so hard on editing away 10 episodes and still make it a flowing storyline... Hmm...

awwwwww chen hao's not being considered for this series??? so dissappointed been wanting to see her after DGSD2003 until now *sigh*

but i am excited with this reproduction XD hope they do a better job sticking to the story line.. IMHO Dicky's version strayed too far and was really a bore in the end (starting with dicky, long er and shuang er's journey in russia)

IMHO fan bing bing's pretty but doubt if she's suitable as ah ke... way too modern look and not the lengendary beauty look... (ah ke's mum Yuan Yuan was the beauty of the era and was sort of the femininely weak - type) fan bing bing just looks too strong of an opinion to pass for Chen Yuan Yuan (ah ke was suppose to looks exactly like CYY and thus same actress 2 role thingie)

Yea, Shu CHang has the best look for Shuang er IMO. I'd say Chen Hao would be good in the role of the princess, she's not really the A Ke that i picture though.

I think FBB is pretty but i've seen her in way too many series. I don't really want her to be in DOMD, and if she is cast as Shuang Er, i'll be a little depressed. Seriously, i don't know what the director was thinking when he eliminated Shu Chang from this. She has the perfect look for Shuang Er.

I think maybe if the casting that's been done so far stands, most likely the singer will take the part of Zeng Rou, which has the least screen time, and FBB will take either A Ke or Shuang Er, becuase they will have more screen time.

If they are really on a budget FBB should be casted as Zeng Rou so they wouldn't have to pay her as much or better yet don't cast her at all.

If they do cast FBB, it ought to as Fang Yi, although I still think Jiang Xin is the ideal fit there. While it would be nice to have our ideal actresses casted, I just hope that the ones ultimately casted are will provide good solid performances. I do hope they are reasonably attractive, but would sacrifice it for performance. But then again my favorite version was Tony Leung's version where Su Quan looked old enough to Wei XiaoBo's mother.

There are actually some very pretty actresses right now that can also act like Jiang Xin, Shu Chang and Yang Mi...

Maybe it's too early to judge...but one newcomer plus one high pitched singer? Well, there are definitely better options out there
