never read the book so i dont know which role SC would be best as...maybe i'll start after subbing roch.

It’s all about rubbing the right shoulders . Perhaps FBB has strong inside connections. I find it quite interesting that FBB started out in supporting roles yet within a couple years, she’s practically everywhere.

I wouldn’t mind YM as Seung Er either. Maybe she will have better costumes and hair than ROCH. Still, thumbs up to her for managing to look so cute in those weird attires . I would have objected to such clothing.

If the casting is true, I wonder why Shui Ling is taking such a small role? She’s just so pretty and talented. She needs more challenging roles or at least be leads in popular series.

As much as i'd love to watch Shui Ling again, i think it's good that she's not taking such a small role. She could be getting so much better ones.

Shu Chang is the first wife to be confirmed. She will be playing Princess Jian Ning and here are some tiny pics she posted in her blog during her costume fitting. Dont like her hairstyle though, makes her look rather old, like an empress instead of a princess. They should have given her brighter and sweeter colours, but well, hope her other outfits and hair are nicer.

I read that besides FBB, alot of internet polls are voting for GYY and LYF for the role of Ah Ke but LYF had already turned down the role earlier and i doubt GYY would take up tv series anytime soon, so FBB will probably star as Ah Ke. Sigh, was hoping to see SFF and YM in this series but seems like they wont be in it anymore. SFF was supposed to try out for princess Jianning but Shu Chang has gotten it now. And i was hoping tt YM would play either Shuang'er, Princess Jianning or Ah Ke but seems like the actreses for these roles are more or less confirmed. In tt case, wouldnt want YM to star in her anymore since the rest of the wife roles are either too bland or not suitable for her.

OMG! The costume doesn't look Qing at all! The manchu headdress is too big on the side and the headdress assessories look too big like the Korean ones. And the colours are terrible!!! And the Manchu sqaure-neck costumes are gone and replaced by those big flappy things! I hope the other ones are much nicer!

This version ZJZ is more base on the book than Wong Jing, For the Princess Ning will not adorable like the one Ruby did. If you watch the Tony version back then so Princess Ning will like this girl in there will not lovely and likeable .
