MJP's big sis was Fang Yi ( erm.. Feng Er) i don't know her chinese name.. just know in viet it is PHONG NHI. She didn't like WXB at first, but grew to love him.

Hong Fu Ren- well, his oldest wife. SHe was a wife on the Dragon Community's ruler. She got impregnanted by him.... She was kind of evil in the beginning.. but she turned good. I think she got the most powerful kung fu compared to the other wives.


and the Princess Kian Ning.. she is the brattiest of them all. SHe castrated her soon to be husband because she did not love him, and was pregnant with WXB's child at the time. She castrated the son of Ng Sam wAI.

Zeng Rou didn't do much, she was just kind of there and tags along with WXB

ZJZ mentioned that he will not use many new faces for the wives cause it'll be tiring for the director and crew. In fact, i think he is only planning to use 1 new face for the wives, that's why he's holding a nation-wide search for the role of young WXB and only 1 of the wives.

Shuang Er - Loyal, dutiful, ideal paramour of any man. This adorable maid was given to WXB during middle part of the novel and plays most significant role amongst his wives. She shares the most "screen time" (in the novel's case, ink) with WXB in his adventures.

Mu JianPing - Young, naive, and innocent countess of previous dynasty. First actual wife WXB encounters during early parts of the novel. Provides for some comedic scenes with WXB. More insignificant and vaselike near the end.

WeiXiaoBo is around 12-13 years old at the beginning of the novel and is in his early twenties at the conclusion of the novel, which spans 7-10 years.

LYF has apparently rejected ZJZ's request that she star in DOMD. ZJZ was actually planning to make her lead among the 7 wives but she has turned it down, citing the reason that her company is letting her focus on her singing career for now. It seems that ZJZ is very disappointed with LYF's rejection since he was the one that supposedly groomed and promoted LYF in his JY series. There are speculations however, that ZJZ has set his eyes on another girl, who is supposedly a mainland chinese who does business in New York to take over LYF's place. Sources claim that she is very beautiful and stands out from the crowd, very similar to WXB's prettiest wife, Ah Ke. ZJZ also mentioned that he may be planning to pick several newcomers from the latest mainland star search for the roles of the wives.

This article seems to be in conflict to the earlier one. ZJZ had only plan to use 1 new face for the roles of the wives, but he's apparently planning to use more than 1 now. I guess it's tought to get beautiful and recognized actresses to star in this series since their screentime will be little and most of them won't be very willing to share the screen with 7 other actresses. I think that may be also why LYF is unwilling to star in here, i mean if you were cast as the undisputable lead as XLN in an earlier series and gained all that fame and recognition, you won't exactly be willing to step down and share the hype with other actresses when you can spend time earning more doing other stuff. That always happens to ppl who become famous, they fly out of their nests to greener pastures. But well, ZJZ might manage to hire some well-known faces after all since he does depends on well-known faces to promote his series.

i don't mind if LYF doesn't star in this one... i mean, if i were her, none of the wife roles are particularly appealing anyway... although she should really be thanking ZJZ... if i directed TLBB, after LYF's performance of WYY, i definitely would not have recast her as XLN...... although it turned out to be a reasonably good decision

in fact, i think that DOMD is a good series for new actresses to star in... if they do well, they may be given bigger roles... if they don't then they won't spoil the series... in a series like ROCH, if XLN does poorly, then the series would just fall flat.

yea, she'd prob want a nice role as one of the two main females in HSDS... i can't really picture her as either of them... she's more of a Xiao Zhao to me than a ZZR or Zhao Min

Zhou Zhi Ruo was not really like XLN in the book... Zhou Zhi Ruo was a total ***** in the book... she might have been misunderstood, but at least in the edition i read, she was really not as sympathetic or misundertood as GYY made her out to be

In June of this year, Chinese martial arts master Zhang Jizhong will begin shooting an adaptation of the classic novel "Royal Tramp"《鹿鼎记》 by renowned writer Louis Cha.

The novel has been adapted many times before to a number of formats. Last time，Hong Kong comic star Stephen Chow was cast as the lead in director Wong Jing's film version of "Royal Tramp", which won much acclaim for his slick and sly characters，and left a deep impression on its viewers.

Zhang Jizhong said that he is busy selecting the lead roles, and his eyes were recently caught by Wang Qian, who was the winner of the Miss China Pageant in New York. The director said he wanted Wang to be one of the protagonist's seven wives, A Ke(阿珂).

Thanks for the news Sugar! Wang QIan sort of looked like Ada Choi in that pix. I wonder who she will play. I hope that Shu Chang can be one of the wives since I have not seen her in any series for a long long time....

I am honestly glad LYF will not be in this production since she is already in 2 of his productions, so other stars should get a chance. I honestly she is overrated anyway and would love to see new faces. LYF is really lucky that ZJZ likes to work with her and is giving her the priority over many other actresses that have to compete for the roles that she rejects.
