    2) Having the same supporting actors for LOCH '94.
    QUOTE]

The 83 version actually has more fo the same supporting actors than the 94 version.. The 94 version only has the same people playing the 4 greats and ZBT.. while in the 83 version, they had the same people playing the 4 great, ZBT, Kau Chien Yun and the Chuen Zun 7. By the time you figure out which of the CZ7 is who, they no longer show up...

Why the '83 version is better than the '94 version: SKY KING ANDY LAU

Why '94 version *might* be better than the '83 version: Carmen Lee - ohhhh ahhhh

I am afraid I don't know anything about it in HK- Even the name might be different, there.

There is also a version of HSDS that is being put out as a comic, this time by Ma Wing-Shing (a favorite artist of mine for years...) Again, in the US it is published by ComicsOne.

Finding them can be difficult, though...
FYI: both series from comicsone are "on hiatus indefinately".
This is ComicsOnes way of saying that both series has been cancelled.
Chances are they will never continue printing the rest of each series.
I liked them both...too bad. ComicsOne has major advertising problems.
They can't seem to get their stuff reviewed or out in store shelves...
I predict that they will go the way of Jade Comics...who died a
horrible drawn out death. Anyway, should you wish to try out CO's comics..
7 issues of Roch and i think 12 issues of HSDS...you can go to their web site and
purchase them in bulk for like 70% off retail price.

Asiapac's comic version is extremely accurate to the novels.
Art isn't nearly as good as comicsOnes though. However, asiapacs
is totally complete, assuming you can order whole series from them....
they always have some issues being out of print but they reprint occasionally.

Let's help out Noodles by FORCING them to translate! (so that I can once again feed my ROCH addiction and relieve my withdrawl symptoms) :b

Oh, man! And here I thought I wasn't finding them because I haven't found the right comics places out here... I am totally bummed...

Thanks for the info, though- So used to "going" to the comic store as an activity, I never really thought about buying them online...

    Sadness...

First of all, thank's for the translation noodles. It is great. Much appreciated. Keep it up man, as long as you have the time. As the saying goes, quality over quantity. Btw, has chapter 25 been already finished? Anybody knows?

    Thank's

Can anybody tell me where to order Asiapac's comic online?

To order ROCH by asiapac online, go to http://www.asiapacbooks.com/category.asp?cid=27 for the english version or http://www.asiapacbooks.com/category.asp?cid=28 for the chinese version. Oh yes, some of them are out of stock at the moment.

Just to let you know, there's 18 volumes altogether.

BUT, if u wait for those missing isssues to be reprinted and
available...some of the current issues that are in stock may be out
of stock later. Soo...its tuff to pick up the entire series in 1 shot.

There are only two types of Chinese right? Traditional and Simiplified. Usually the novels are in traditional Chinese. Too difficult to read. That's why we need to come here!

For the written Chinese, yes there are mainly only two forms - and yes it is difficult to translate and read, which is why we will need to go kidnap and force a Chinese intellectual into translating ROCH for us ^^

Yeah, I tried to contact the distributor and they told me that they were not planning on re-printing soon. Really tough luck ! I envy those who can understand Chinese, they don't need to wait any translation for comics, novels or movies...

I also contacted ComicsOne distributor and they said that they never heard ComicsOne's plan to stop publishing HSDS or ROCH aka Legendary Couple. I really hope so.

Anybody has any information to add?

    Heh..checked comicsones forum.
Officially, most of their kung fu comics were put in hiatus as stated before BUT

Seems like ComicsOne had such problems that they are
now becoming DRMaster. Comcisone will continue releasing
older titles but DRMaster will take over some titles and all new
titles. Looks like they are transitioning for new ownership and management.
I guess ComicsOne had to sell since they were doing so badly.
You know it's bad when no ComicsOne rep has responded in their
    own forums for months.
DRMaster has contracted for Diamond as their main distributor
    sometime in January.

Hopefully there will be some new changes that will help out the
kung fu comics line...which is the only one i'm interested in.

yah... I am hating it right now T-T. Guess I will re-read ROCH and play editor to get my ROCH fix. I hope noodles returns soon - either that or for some one else to help out noodles.
