oh yeah, she's very pretty and I think her acting is real good, one of the best among the current batch of actresses in fact. It's quite a pity she's consistently been overlooked in the fame department over the years coz she's got the entire package, looks and acting ability!

haha, I remember her more from her period dramas like 'Tofu Street' and 'Chu Lu' especially in 'Tofu Street' where she shaved her head. Won the best actress for that role.

The story begins with the return of Wen He. Even as his father welcomes him warmly to the home, younger sister Wen Qing is icily hostile towards him. She regards Wen He as an irresponsible brother who abandoned the family and caused their father to suffer. Squabbles between Wen Qing and Wen He are thus common. In a huff, Wen Qing left the laksa store and Wen He steps in to take over the ladle.
Back in happier times...
But a darker cloud looms over the Wen family, for the eldest son is stricken with bone cancer. The main reason for Wen He’s return is so that he can leave his beloved young daughter to the care of his family. Not wanting to aggrieve his family, he keeps his illness secret behind a happy façade.
Problems further descend on the family when Wen Quan is retrenched. Eager to have his own laksa stall, he asks his father for the secret recipe. When told that there isn’t one, he angrily reveals an age-old secret that turns the family topsy-turvy.
Meanwhile, Zhenzhu launches a hot (& spicy?) pursuit for Wen He’s heart.
Will she succeed in winning the man? Can Wen He conquer his illness? We can only wait with bated breaths!
