I heard about there is a novel by this name... where a short story that a Chinese Ghost Story is based on and some TVB series.

Does anyone heard of this book before? Is there an English translations somewhere about these tales.

Are you talking about Liao Zhai?

I've seen several volumes at my campus library, entitled "Strange tales from the Liaozhai studio"

- translators, Zhang Qingnian, Zhang Ciyun, Yang Yi ; english editor, Martha Graham.

Author is Pu, Songling (1640-1715)

I am not really sure what is called in Chinese. Is the book "Strange tales from the Liaozhai studio" the bases of TVB's TV series Dark Tales? and where the short story of A Chinese Ghost Story came from?
