There is nothing really worth translating here. The jist of the article is that Alec recently bumped into Lien Jing Wen at some function and chatted about the possibility of their working together again. I believe Ms. Lien played Jimmy Lin's fishing village wife, Red Pearl, in "The Handsome Twins/Siblings." Apparently, Alec and Ms. Lien were in some movie together way back when; the movie was called "First Love" (or something like that...).

What's more worth noting today is another article that mentioned that the second series from the makers of "Love of the Aegean Sea" is almost ready to start shooting. This series is going to be called "Love in Venice" (or some such name), and will be partly filmed in Venice (much like "Love of the Aegean Sea" was partly filmed in Greece). The series is said to be featuring Alec again, with the possibility of Ruby Lin playing his love interest again (don't shoot me... I'm just a messenger). The other leads will be played by Wu Bing (blech) and Lin Xie Lui (sexy Taiwanese lady who appeared in a lot of HK movies). Alec will supposedly play a news reporter who pines for Ruby (much like Yiao Xiang pining for Xiao Tong in Aegean Sea), while Ruby likes the depressed rich guy played by Wu Bing (sound familiar?), who instead marries movie star Lin Xie Lui. The shooting schedule is said to be around May-June of this year, and may possibly clash with the shooting schedule of "The Great White Tower." Alec's manager, Mr. Sung, mentioned that if the schedules of the two series do clash, then they may choose whichever one is ready to start shooting first!

The reaction from various fans is that this is probably a gossipy rumour meant to create buzz (i.e. not the truth). They said that it'd be pretty boring to have Ruby and Alec as a couple so soon again, and that the story sounds too similar to Aegean Sea. Personally, I don't think I can stomach watching Wu Bing in an entire series...

ETA: the second article also mentioned that other possibilities for Ruby's character include Vicki Zhao (are you guys happy now?), Fan Bing Bing, and some other lady whose name I do not recognize.

wow...that's great news on alec. although ruby is not bad, i would love to see alec pair with someone else. what do you guys think? i'm thinking maybe gyy since they didn't get each other in hsds and it'll be interesting to see how their love story unfolds.

I really hope this is just a rumor ...I want to see him go for the doctor role in the White Tower, this story sounds alot more interesting to me and ALec playing a role he never played before would be something I'm looking forward to!

OH NO! Not AGAINNNNNNN... Unless the main female lead is Vicki or else I would not look forward to this series AT ALL! I mean, what's the use of doing a series similar to what he has already done? Alec always said he want to challenge himself in new role and that he's planning to take up baddy role. So wouldn't his words be contradicted if he takes up this series? He will not improve much if he keeps on acting the same role over and over again. I will be really disappointed if he takes the offer and I might not watch the series as well. He can do a lot better.

yeah i read the taiwan version, i'm not sure if there is an english version, but I can search for you. hou wen yong was a doctor before he was an author, so his depiction of the doctors/hospitals is really wonderful. if you ever get a chance read xiao yi yuan da yi shi (little hospital, big doctors) is a really hilarious book, while it has truth to it as well

i totally share the same feelings. seeing alec and ruby in the same sentence makes me really mad. i'm so sick of their series together, the truth is, AR is probably one of the worst couples chemistry wise, AV, and AA　are much better!
and i'd love to see alec as a doctor, i don't think he's ever been one has he? or has my memory gone bad? eh 13 hours of sleep this whole week certainly isn't helping me

another production is filming bai se ju ta too, but this one is adapted from the hit japanese tv series, and it stars lawrence ng, who was awesome as a doctor in healing hands. but besides that, i don't like him too much (he was the zwj in hsds 00 btw) and he's really old. however, the experience from successfully portraying a doctor before will certianly help him. And i'm much rather see how alec acts in bsjt to "overpower" him..cuz that would be more interesting, more challenging than qdaqh all over again.....and qdaqh's storyline wasn't all that great to begin with, so rewatching it with different characters, especially AR is really gonna ruin it, at least in my opinion.
