hey , sry for changing the topic ^^ ..i just rent ''Yang Warrior '' hmm..sry i dont kno wat the series called. i think Alec did a great job on his acting in that series ..and also soo damn fine in there .... on the other hand i should say i dont like chae rim in Yang Warrior ..for my opinion i think chae rim doesn't match with those kind clothes that she wear in that series ..heheh maybe i watch too mcuh her drama in korean wit other actor n not get used wit dis series with all taiwanese and other chinese actor/actress.. but she's still my favor actress in korean ^^ so wat u guy think about chae rim in that series ?

No winkwink, it isn't. Chae Rim is dubbed just like Alec is dubbed if Yang Warriors is shown in Korea.

I haven't seen Yang Warriors yet so I haven't a clue.

hehe hearless, the necklace is naturally a Tiffany's brand necklace. If u can find a Tiffany jewler store by your area, then undoubtedly, they'll have the necklace. I think the price ranges about 2 hundred dollars or so. hehe. not too bad. (but it's actually silver, no white gold) i would think for white gold, $200 is about reasonable, but silver...? >_<. hehe oh well, it's jsut not because alec has this necklace that i want one, but ti's just i actually really like this necklace haha.

yes... Alec DID looked so handsome, and god i loved his hair. it fits quite nicely w/ the suit---genuinely sophisticated and mature.

hehe Yang Clan is also already coming out in viet-dub. can't say i liked Alec's viet-dubbed voice though! >_<. hehe it's not bad, (it's actually the same dubbed voice for alec in HSDS) but i STILL hoped to hear the dubbed voice that dubbed for Alec in hzgg I in viet lol. and u know...... i thought i'd give CR a break and watever, jsut watch the damned show for alec, but hehe it just gets worse and worse, the viet voice for her was HORRIBLE! haha.. which makes one even more irritated when watching >_<. aiya..........i'm so busy,i dont' even have time to watch lol.

Winkwink, I agree with you too about Chaerim I adored her in her Korean dramas and the Aegean Sea but in the Yang Warriors her acting was a bit stiff and not as natural...I think it was partly due to her not yet accquainted with the way one carries herself in a Chinese ancient drama and also the ancient costumes. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the chemistry between her and Alec. To me, their chemistry on screen was deeper than any other actresses paired with him so far in the past. I know that there are some of you here would disagree with me on this but that's OK. TO EACH HIS OWN! This is just my opinions and I hope I won't get chased out of this thread for saying this...lols

Hmmm... I don't get why a lot of you think that Chae Rim and Alec has a lot of chemistry in Yang Warriors. Personally, I feel that Chae Rim always build a wall between her and Alec while she's acting. She never went to the point where I hope she would go. Her facial expression always changes constantly in the series. From being strong/tough to weak/fragile, and then back again. It's just weird and it really irks me to watch her side by side with Alec. Alec, on the other hand, *ahem* go beyond my expectation. I know it's good for him to go there, but I feel very upset (somewhere along that line) seeing him having so much feeling for his on-screen partner (except Vicki that is ). I know I’m being a big time bias saying this stuff, but…I just can’t help it. I’m just really annoyed by how she acted in Yang Warriors. Even my mom said her acting is very uncomfortable in the series. Not that there is anything to do with what I’m trying to say. I feel that the director can do a lot better in finding another leading cast than Chae Rim (not necessary Vicki). After four or five series I’ve watched her in, I think my favorite series of her ought to be “All About Eve.” That series is her breakthrough. Anyhow, I find it surprising that I like the princess that also likes Alec more than Chae Rim. Sigh!

Yang Warriors is coming out in Viet??? Yippee!!!! I've already watched it in chinese, but there were parts I couldn't understand. Now I can catch everything. Yay! Hien, do you know if it's the long taiwan version or the mainland version? I have the short version. Would be soooo great if the viet dubbed one is the longer version. There were so many scenes cut out that I wanted to see! *crosses fingers*

Coey, I agree with you. I did not like Chae Rim's acting very much. When she was weak, it was too weak, so when she tries to act strong, you have no idea where she gets the strength from. Also, she acted um...very girly. The way she moves. Albeit the time period calls for gentleness in girls, but she kind of overdid it. It's possible to act femine and gentle without looking girly. Chae Rim just didn't look natural. This is just my thoughts. Yup, Alec, on the other hand, pours his heart into his roles. He cries a bit too much, it made his character look weak. Don't get me wrong, I still love this serie. Alec looked great, and the story was pretty interesting.

as for yang, i focused my attention more on alec since chaerim played a minor role...

i think all the stars alec had worked with displayed ample amount of chemistry...

i view my self as the ordinary audience to watch the chemistry between the male and female leads...if i'm not a fan of alec, and i like the chemistry, then i think that's enough to convince others...

Ha haha Coey, I share your sentiments regarding Chae Rim in Yang clan. I ended up liking the Mongolian princess better. She was more human I find, spoilt but spunky and sweet and totally giving her all to love Alec. She protects her lover in so many different ways that she is almost in the heroine role to me instead of CR. She is quite pretty too exccept that the croissant like hairpiece on top of her head makes her look a bit off. . CR on the other hand, was quite deadpan in her expression for most of the show except for the time when she was a recruit soldier under Alec. Her muslim/indian like outfit also looked out of place but thats being too picky now.

However, in the Aegean sea, she was the exact opposite. She was beautiful, bubbly, a go-getter (fancy asking for En Ci's email contact etc) and loyal to her friends. There was one scene near the start when she had just made friends with Alec and was showing him around (in an open-air buggy) where I was tickled by Alec's expression. She actually sat too close to him (I think) than is proper decorum and Alec looked a bit surprised at her exuberant acting and smiled that gorgeous smile of his. Maybe its my own imagination

Anyway, folks, there is an interesting story called 'Forward' in Winglin fanfic that you gals may want to check out. Its my favourite type of story: a down and out guy made good. Its storyline is about a boy who having been mistreated and abandoned by his mother, grew up successful but with a fear for having kids. He grew to love his adoptive sister whose parent took him in when he was abandoned (poor thing). English and typing sometimes is a bit off for the authoress who is Kenny BTW but storyline makes up for it. Its a good read. Have a go if you have time. This is the URL:

I like the cartoon of Alec..it's really nice. Actually, I have seen quite a few movies w/ Alec in it. At least all that I can find. And yes, I did see the Dragon Sabre one too. I'm not saying he's a lousy actor. He's good and I have seen improvements. However, I would'nt say he is the greatest. And yes I do think that the stories are not as well plotted as they should be. So that is not his fault. Although, I do think he looks good. And I think that he will grow into a fine actor. Because w/ each movie I do see the difference. Yes, I agree that not all Korean dramas are good and some do drag. But I do notice a huge interest in Korean dramas over HK & Taiwan production. Most video stores that I have visited have told me that thier customers demand Korean dramas over all the others. True Alec may not need Korean influence to make him big..however, it would'nt hurt his career. Regardless, it seems the Taiwan producers already know the effects that Korean dramas have these days. That is why I am reading and hearing more about Korean actors & actresses being ask to take part in Taiwan productions. I'm sure they are capitalizing on it. If not why are they doing it? To me I think the collaboration of the two is alright. It's makes it more interesting and brings more people together. This is base on what I've read, heard and seen.
I thought Alec was good in the Yang Clan. I think he was one of the few actors in the movie that was good.

If you don't mind me asking Phalen..what nationality are you? Just curious.
Anyhow, I'm just sharing my thought..hope you all don't think I'm raining on anyone's parade.. Because I'm not. If it helps..I really do like Alec. But mainly for his looks.

See you guys..It seems much of the comment that I have read about Chae Rim is about the character she plays. It's seem you guys are judging her base on the character Yu Yan. I really don't think it's Chae Rim, but it's more the character. Don't forget that the actors/actress are following a script. That is why I'm saying that it's not all her fault. I don't know, I thought Chae Rim was good. I thought she was graceful when she needed to be and witty at some point. But I don't think..that is "her" but more the character. I personally thought Chae Rim's outfits were pretty. I did not like any of the guys outfits. I think the outfits in the old Yang Saga movie was a lot nicer. Recently I have watched this movie..I don't know what it is in english..but its a Korean drama..In vietnamese it's called Liang Ai. She was really good in that movie..But its also because the story was good and the character that she is playing calls for her to be a certain way. Well anyhow..I'm all for Chae Rim because she is young, talented and so cute! And I'm jealous that the girl can speak two different languages that are both so complex.
