But Musa is definitely tops. Very much under rated as it was made at a time when the K-wave did not make the leap into movies yet and also when Zhang Ziyi was cheap to employ.

Well, Musa was intended to crack the US market, believing that they too could make it big in the US like the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon did. At least Musa had "realistic" action sequence that was deemed more marketable to the US audiences than Chinese Wuxia movies.

I don't know why it failed to be picked up by a US distributor, maybe the running time was too long and draggy?
