There's a surprise, Chris Doyle up for Cinematography. Why isn't this guy working in Hollywood?

    Up on the first post....

    *Edit*
Since I am bored out of my mind waiting for my last class to start, here are some of my picks:

Best Film: Kung Fu Hustle (I think overall for entertainment value this was the best, I think A Night in Mongkok comes close to it in my preference hierarchy.)

Best Actor: Tony Leung Chiu Wai (Ok, you know they are gonna give it to him. Sorry Stephen, but you did not have enough screen time for me to consider you as the lead in Kung Fu)

Best Actress: Yuen Qiu (Ok, she is my favorite out of all the choices and was the most eye-catching. I know her chances of winning are rather slim [should would have had better luck in the supporting category], but she my choice for best actress. The most probable winner would likely by Miss Zhang or Sylvia Chang, but would certainly kick-butt if Yuen Qiu wins)

Best Supporting Actor: Yuen Wah (Ok, so I liked the Landlords A LOT in Kung Fu Hustle. So my take on why he is the supporting actor in this film eventhough his screen time was way more than Stephen's is that he is "supporting" Yuen Qiu who was the leading lady, just as Huang Sheng Yi was supporting Stephen. He did a excellent job in it. My next choice for this award is Daniel Wu in New Police Story. I mean the guy was just sadistic and he shows it.)

Best Supporting Actress; Bai Ling (a rather clear choice)

Best Director: Derek Yee (I thought he did a good job in creating the atmosphere of A Night in Mongkok.)

Best Action Choreography + Best Visual Effects: Kung Fu Hustle (hands down, nothing came close)

kinda baffles me as to why Breaking News was not nominated for cinematography..I mean that 10 minute non-stop shootout has got be worth something..

For the record, I do like Jaycee Fang very much as a singer and a showbiz personality. But why is he here? His performance in The Huadu Chronicles: Blade Of The Rose is not good at all.

Btw, is 'Sei Mong Jap Jok' english title 'Ab-normal Beauty'?

    my choices would be:
    Best Actor:
Tony Leung Chiu Wai (2046)-bit biased here, hehe, he's my fave actor, can't you tell? i really like Stephen Chow too, but he only has a limited amount of screen time on Kung- Fu Hustle, so i don't think he counts as a leading actor there, a supporting maybe...

    Best Actress
Zhang Ziyi (2046)-her performance here is simply brilliant, even if most of you don't like her, i still think that she is a great actress...

    Best Supporting Actor
Yuen Wah (Kung Fu Hustle)-hilarious performance!

    Best Supporting Actress
Bai Ling (Three Extreme: Dumplings)-no contest...

    Best Newcomer
Eva Huang Sheng Yi (Kung Fu Hustle)-not much to choose from...

    Best Film
    Kung Fu Hustle-but of course!

    Best Director
    Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle)-yeay!!!

    Best Screenplay
Stephen Chow, Tsang Kan Cheong, Lola Huo, Chan Man Keung (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Cinematography
Chris Doyle, Lai Kai Fai, Kwan Bun Leung (2046)

    Best Editing
    Angie Lam (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Art Direction
Cheung Suk Ping, Yau Wai Ming (2046)

    Best Wardrobe Design
Shirley Chan Gu Fong (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Action Choreography
Yuen Woo Ping (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Original Score
    Raymond Wong (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Original Song
Leon Lai (Leaving Me Loving You)

    Best Visual Effects
Cheung Chi Hang, Ma Wing On, Tam Kai Kwan, Hung Yuk Leung (Kung Fu Hustle)

    Best Asian Film
    Zatoichi (Japan)

    Best New and Upcoming Director
    Wong Ching Po (Jiang Hu)
    Gackt-sama's eternal love slave
