anyone notice those officers in green costume don't have moustache?
I did not realize that...Originally Posted by susie
If you are talking about the ones in tall hats and hang aorund the emperor, then those are eunuchs, so of course they will have no moustache.Originally Posted by susie

You know, I have finished this series and attempted watching it again but its really too long and tedious particularly the beginning parts when Chang Jin grew up. I have no problems watching the young Chang Jin episodes again cause I find her so adorable!
All the cooking parts and the top lady fights actually bores me ..ha ha....I think that's me only.
yep yep ur right, wonder y?Originally Posted by susie

i like the cooking parts as they show how food is cooked without MSGs. natural ingredients. i cant figure out what they used to marinate and cook those food. i find that the producer, pr, etc of this show are great as they know how to market dae jang guem as well as the cooking shows as a separate product.Originally Posted by strawberry
I love this series!!!! Lee YOung Ae and Ji Jin Hee are so good!!!! THis series have what I need in life FOOD and HEALTH!!!!
Does anyone know what really happens to Jang geum in real life? I tried finding something, but I couldn't find anything.
...I'm really really curious.
lol Yup. I agree w/ u there. They don't seem to have many hobbies at all. At first, I thought this was an ordinary series and I wasn't too thrilled about it (and I had the whole seies right in front of me!) Then, it became more and more interesting until I'm hooked. My mom complains that she can't tell the guys apart other than Cheung Gum's uncle...she said it's because his face look especially sneaky or something like that...I read on a Chinese forum that he's voice-acted by Ding Dong (Doraemon)!Originally Posted by Happii

I've recently read on a newspaper that it took them one yr. to plan the show and spent 1 billion to film it. And then it explained that Lady Chui wanted to be Lady Hon, but she got tricked by the director into playing the 'evil' role. She said that it's lucky ppl aren't yelling at her wherever she goes and that she doesn't get bombarded by tomatoes... Pity. I actually liked her character.
Well, what really happened is, rather unkonwn. From the Jo Sun Dynasty History book, there was a lday name Jang Guem who had a great skill of curing others in the palace. And please note that Jang Guem was a very common name at that time.Originally Posted by Fouroclock
Jang Guem only appears 10 times in Jung Jong Sil Lohk as a female doctor. The drama was rather faked up with director's imagination.
Over all the drama was alright.
Guem Young's actress is Hong Ri Nah. She got married recently. Hong Ri Nah is quiet pretty, and she looks alot better without that 2 inch thick make up she had on in the drama.

It does get quite tedious watching the ladies plot against each other though the drama is rather interesting.Originally Posted by Yon
Hmm did you notice that Hong Ri Nah's chin wrinkles quite a bit in many scenes.
