Just started watching a couple of episodes and i love this series! It's been a while since i've watched such an entertaining k-drama and 2 thumbs up for Chae Rim in her 1st K-series comeback role eversince "Oh! Feel Young". Apart from the weird curls which make her look rather matured (since her role requires it), she's as cute and funny as ever. Her character is very likeable since she's headstrong and not the typical damsel-in-distress since she's portraying a successful and matured woman in her 30s who feels that she does not need men in order to be happy, and has very strong sense of pride. Her winter clothings and acessories are lovely and make her look very chic and sophisticated.

This is my first time seeing Lee Min Ki onscreen and his acting skills are so-so, the typical type of Korean idol acting but he's very cute-looking and dashing, especially his eyes! And surprisingly, although younger than CR in the series and in real life, he does have very good chemistry with her and they look very sweet whenever they are together! One of the pluses is that he has very seductive gazes/stares..such that its convincing that a successful and more matured woman in able to fall for him.

Storyline is pretty good and what i love are the cleverly done parodies of movies/films like Kill Bill, Jewel in the Palace, In the Mood for Love etc which are artfully interwined into the series whenever Dal Ja (Chae Rim) is imagining or fantasizing..very creative way of portraying humour! The comic illustrations a la french sketches at the beginning and end of every episode are very cute as well!

Very hot series with lotsa hugging and smooching scenes btw CR and LMK.

"In the Mood for Love" parody where Dal Ja imagines kissing Tae Bong in episode 2.

From the pictures, I prefer Lee Hyung Woo, he looks more mature and cleancut compare to Lee Min Ki.

Chae Rim looks different every time I see her.

Who is this man in this picture? I can't be sure with the facial hair.

Lee Min Ki has very boyish looks as compared to Lee Hyung Woo but i dont know why for some reason, I dont really like the latter's looks. His character is not very likeable in her either, but thats just me

She does look very different in the series as compared to her past ones. Probably cause shes playing a matured character this time such that she appears somewhat more sophisticated. The curls make her look very matured and she seems to have aged somewhat since I last saw her (probably due to all the stress accompanying her divorce last yr) but like i mentioned in her thread, she's still very cute and lively onscreen, though more matured now. And there's still traces of past girlish charms in her here and there in the series.

It's Lee Min Ki. He didnt seem to impress at the beginning but is growing more on me as the series progresses.

Okay, well then, I prefer Lee Min Ki in the traditional korean attire and the facial hair. He looks more attractive and mature. Not to mention distinctively handsome with that kind of gaze he's giving her in that picture.

At first looking at Lee Hyung Woo's picture kind of reminded me of Donnie Yen particulary the eyelids.

Come to think of it, he does resemble Donnie Yen, only the latter looks hotter and cooler

This is the first time Min Ki is asked to play a role where he's 'cool'/'calm'/'collected'. He's still trying to adapt to this type of role. If you get the chance, watch his debut drama role, KBS Drama City 'My Older Brother', as well as, MBC Best Theatre 'Taerung's National Village' and MBC 'Really Really Like You'; his acting isn't the 'typical type of Korean idol acting'. I had fallen for him back in 2004 [when Min Ki was just 19] with 'My Older Brother' where he plays a father to an 8-yr old boy (imagine being 19 and asked to play a 26 yr old, and a father no less). 'My Older Brother' is from the writer of 'Sangdoo! Let's Go to School', 'Sorry, I Love You', 'A Love to Kill'. And I'll always remember him as 'Nam Bong Ki' in 'Really Really Like You'.

A pic of Min Ki from the Feb '07 issue of ANAN magazine:

Ooh..he looks hot! Thanks for the info on LMK but i dont think i'll catch any of his other works any time soon, at least not for now, maybe in the future since im not a fan of his though i do like him in "Dal Ja's Spring"..but not enough to make me watch/keep track of all his works..i actually watched this series because i like Chae Rim and it so happens that LMK is likeable in here as well..but who knows, i might end up liking him even more after the end of the series..more enough to make me catch his other works

And no offence over the K-idol type of acting..I dont know about other shows but he just seems that way to me in this series..probably because of the romantic comedy genre/character as well. But that mini-biography of his works does sound impressive..anyway he's still very young and probably has a long and bright future ahead of him.

Up to episode 10 for now and the series is getting more and more interesting; several comical scenes were really hilarious, i literally laughed out loud when the "Jewel in the Palace" tune was played while Dal Ja (CR) was preparing ingredients to cook for the ill Son Ju. The comic element in this series is really original/creative and nicely done on the whole, not too lame/lifeless but also not too fake and exaggerated unlike some other serials. Some of the dialogues/lines (esp by CR) are really funny (smth like full house).

The first episode was pretty ordinary. Chae Rim's makeup is thick and pale enough to rival that of a chinese opera artiste but I guess the drama has promise as long as it doesn't turn out to be a protractedly long affair. I'm just not sure vanity and pride would make me take revenge as Dal Ja did. She comes across as a little too childish, and though capable at work, has too many fanciful thoughts in her head when it comes to relationships.

I'm sold on Tae Bong though. He's boyish, mature for his age, amusing and free spirited.

Ah, Lee Min Ki is so young! I mean he's 2 years my junior! And yet, I like his eyes. Indeed, growing on me. Chae Rim has such big eyes or is it the makeup? The eyeliner and lashes accentuates her eyes..making them look bigger?

I'm on episode 3 and I find it mildly interesting, although episode one was sorta boring until Lee Min Ki made his presence.

I'm at episode 9 now, and I think Lee Min Ki is the only one sustaining my interest. I'm curious to know more about his background. The storyline's pretty simple and commonplace so I'm wondering how they're going to stretch it all the way to ep22.

Yeah I think it's the liner that's accentuated her eyes. In ep1, before she morphed into a slightly goth looking doll she didn't have those huge kohl lined eyes.

so...who took a closer look at the illustrations featured at the episode title or at the end of the episode and reflected upon its relation to the contents of the episode in order to understand the message the writer conveys through each episode, about single women in their 30's?

Episode 4 was hilarious, the scene that Dal Ja and Seo Do were drinking with each other and afterwards they called Tae Bong. Tae Bong arrives to see both of them drunk and Dal Ja is like "Ah, It's my spare tire, the one who always hangs out with me even when other people won't" And Seo Do is like "It's Oh Dal Ja's spare tire" and then both drunkards vomited on Tae Bong's pant's legs. As friends, they're so funny together. Then the scene that followed with the three of them in bed and waking up screaming and Eom Ki Jeong showing up at her apartment and Dal Ja's grandmother and mom arriving and saying "We must've gotten the wrong house. But this looks like her house."

I love the grandmother, always takes Dal Ja's side and saying how "Which of the three men do you choose? Oh the young one is handsome. You should pick the young and strong one." That convo was amusing.

Episode 5, the evil separated wife of Eom Ji Jeong arrives hahah. She's not all that innocent.

OH MY GOODNESS! I should've noticed this before but Eom Ki Jeong is a total neat freak! I just thought he liked cleanliness but the beginning of episode 9 where he's doing mediation and he's cleaning a bathtub...omg! It's so funny! It really makes me wonder if he actually hires a maid to clean his place or cleaning his apartment is what he does for a hobby!!!!!!!! Hahaha....He knows a lot of stuff but dang, I wouldn't want to hear him talk about all these factoids. Hahaha but I find his character amusing nonetheless.

Sae Do's father is funny. So is Tae Bong and Dal Ja's families are so amusing and I can't help but smile.

I've watched up to episode 17 and yes, I'm completely hooked to this drama. It's hilarious! I haven't laughed this much since MNIKSS. I like how this drama not only focused on the main couple but also the lives of the other supporting cast and so it makes it more well-rounded. And for once, Sae Do and Seon Woo are made as a couple instead of love rivals to Dal Ja and Tae Bong. Even Eom Ki Jeong, Tae Bong's love rival is such a loveable character. I can't believe he started reading mangas and romance novels just to understand the minds of women more and thus pursue Dal Ja with a more prepared strategy. But all the while I think he's going to be back with his ex-wife in the end. I found it so cute of him to get upset that Candy was left to live while the guy in the manga died or something. Hahaha!

Kang Shin Ja, Team Manager is quite amusing too. Out of all the people she's related to, she is Tae Bong's aunt from his father's side. Dal Ja's coworkers are amusing too. So even if they focus on other characters, its still amusing and it bounces back to Dal Ja and Tae Bong.

I just don't get how Dal Ja keeps saying she's 33 nearly every episode. I know it's an age thing but geez, get over it and stop mentioning it every episode. And looking at Chae Rim, she doesn't look old and although Lee Min Ki is much younger than Chae Rim, I don't see a visual age difference in their appearance. Chae Rim could've fooled me and yet everyone in the drama see Chae Rim as looking like an older women so maybe it's the drama people's perspective to make Chae Rim out to look and be older than LMK. Gah, I'm just ranting now.

Yeah i literally LOL at that scene. Especially when Dal Ja and Seo Do kept bowing their heads stupidly and thanking Tae Bong or somthing. ROFL!

And yep, the series is hilarious and im liking almost all the characters, except maybe Tae Bong's ex, who looks somewhat fake and annoying. I like Dal Ja's new boss (TB's aunt) as well..rofl the way she always sneers and purposely calls Dal Ja by the wrong name is so comical!

As for the age factor, yea, i do agree CR doesnt look very convincing as a 33yr old..heck she isnt even close to 30 in reality, not to mention that she has a baby face and looks very young by nature. But oh well, the make-up and hair, especially, does make her look more matured, at least more than usual.

BTW, the last episode was aired last thursday in Korea and it's a happy ending

I love Chae Rim character but are not too fond of all the male actors except maybe Min Ki. He's starting to grow on me.
