Actually prologue a small intro to a play/literary works. Its is something opposite to epilogue, which is what Fusheng like to do in his Fusheng Diary - an ending summary.

Though most of us are not unfamiliar of MDWAV series. There might be some who watch it for the first time. Esp with the speculated change in main casts, one might be lost if some intro is not done.

I had this funny idea: why not we gather our minds to come up with prologues or the main story. Then compare it when the real show come out. See which story plot is more adhering to what Chan13's thinking? No need to be a long one (for prologue), a gist will do (for Main Story).

Wonder if the thread moderator will support this....

I support the idea of a writing contest... As webmaster of vampsub , I will post the 3 best submitted prologues/brief summary on my website to encourage your participation. They will be available under a new fan fiction "tab" I am not sure how I would judge it, but creativity is the key. Also, PM me if you want to be a judge (you can't be a contestant if you want to be a judge for obvious reasons ) If there are less than 5 entries, I will post all of them on my website.

If you want me to check out your story and post your story on the website, just follow these steps:

1. Watch all episodes of MDWAV3 (have seen both endings)
2. Write "Vampsub post permitted" as the first line of your post
3. Specify which ending you pick up from (Last scene in church, or on the grass of the HK Stadium, where the spaceship landed), or if the story doesn't pick up from the end of MDWAV3 at all
4. Write an entry that is 300 - 2000 words, with more than 3 paragraphs
5. Include the following characters in your story: Fong Tin Ai (Ma Siu Ling's daughter), Fong Fok Sung, and one mythical/historical/famed character (For example, Justice Pao, the monkey from Journey of the West, etc.)
6. The story must occur in at least 2 different time periods (past, present, future) (For example, you can have Song Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, or year 2007 and 2046)
6. Submit to this thread (or e-mail/PM to me, in case this thread dies) before March 1st, 2006.

Prize: not sure yet, but I keep having the idea to write to Chan 13 one day to tell him about the subtitles (after I finish translating all MDWAV3 subtitles) and the website, so... if this contest is successful, I am quite sure that I will try to write to him and send ATV/him a copy of your ideas (not sure how high his English level is, but I would guess he would be interested to read it just because it is about MDWAV4). I am not saying that you cannot do that by yourself, I am just trying to offer this to save the contestants the hassle. Also, I might hire a professional artist to draw out a scene that you describe and post it alongside your entry- of course, this will depend on how well the entries are written.

But most of all, express your love for the series. If you really have a nice story that you want to tell others, you wouldn't care about the prize anyway, right?

So, nope dun wanna be the judge. Besides with my English stds I thk..er better not. Probably I just introduce the plot, thats all.

I hope to see many versions of the upcoming MDAV IV! It be great! Striding into the unknown and knowing the results (when the show come out) is so exciting!

I can read both English and Chinese, so I don't care, but I was thinking since everyone is writing in English on this thread, English would be better if you want your story to be read by others... Or else, you would want to post your story on other Chinese MDWAV3 threads

As for script vs. plot, my opinion is that it's impossible to write a good scene without good desciption of the background... of course dialogue is good but just to give you an idea... The subtitle for EACH episode is around 300-600 lines, so if you write in script format, it would take you a long long time to finish one scene, unless you are only trying to write a play and not a TV series. Instead I would try to write out the plot and then add some scenes that you think might have interesting dialogue... like maybe 3-5 scenes.

However, that's just my opinion... you can still do whatever you feel is the best for your story.

Hi, this may seem off topic as Im not posting a follow up on the contest. Erm but i would like to ask.....

In MDWAV3, anyone knows the phone model that ma xiao ling is using? Im sure its nokia but im not sure what phone model it is.

And does anyone knows whether her ringtone can be found in the phone(as in the ring tone is the few tones that nokia has put into the phone)? or is it a specially downloaded tone?

Probably yes.

Xiaohu is a shell for the encasement of Dizang Wang's soul and energy. He is mortal. Once he becomes the arrow, he disappeared - transmuted.
