I remember going into a temple once... and I learned that basically Dee Chon Won is another version or extension (or even assistant) of Kuan Yin. That's why he is naturally good and powerful, and he forgives wrongdoers. The Kuan Yin Temple that I went to have him sit right next to Kuan Yin.

By the way, that temple is in Vancouver, Canada.

Di Zhang Wang is neither assistant, extension nor another version of Guan Yi. He and Guan Yi are to different persons. Both are Bodhisattvas (Pu Sha), enlightened beings who forgo nirvana to help other beings achieve enlightenment. Besides these 2, there were other Bodhisattvas who also did the same thing (forgo Buddhahood to help others). These Bodhisattvas made different vows to help other beings.

The vows of Guan Yin and Di Zhang Wang are as followed:-

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Guan Yin) - to listen to the supplications, and cries for help from those in difficulty in the world and to provide them with aid

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (Di Zhang Wang) - to not achieve Buddhahood until "all the Hells are empty"

The vow of Di Zhang Wang was also mentioned in this series (MDWAV3).

They don't become vampires. They just stay dead. Only the ones that survive become vampires.

In the world of MDWAV, it differs from the world of Dracula.

In Dracula, Vampire A bites Person B. If Vampire A chooses to kill, he would suck out all the blood, and so Person B dies. Now, if Vampire A suddenly wants Person B to be an immortal vampire, he would first suck some of Person B's blood, and then let this half-gone Person B drink his own Vampire A's blood. Now Person B will wake up next day to be a Vampire B.

In MDWAV1, this is a bit more confusing... in general, the almost-dying Person B do need to drink the Vampire A's blood in order to become a Vampire (for example Shanbun Mei Loi needs to drink Shanbun Yat Fu's blood to turn into a vampire) Also, Ping Ma turned all wacko after death because a drop of ShanBun Mei Loi's vampire blood. However, Geung Son did not gave blood to Fok Sung and Tin Yau, and they still became vampires. So it's hard to tell what the rule is in the world of MDWAV1.

In MDWAV 2 & 3, the rules totally changed, there is no need to give anyone blood back in order to turn that person into a vampire. Seems like one bite is sufficient. Tin Ai turned Siu Ling into Vampire, all the Song soldiers turned into vampires through bites only too.

13 once accounted why vampires can now safely eat w/o having stomachache... It would be redundant to show an "idea" again and again in each series, so it would be better not to repeat...

Same here, whether VC gave his blood through his fangs in II or physically drip onto Fusheng/Tianyou, I believe that really doesn't matter. Xiaoling mentioned in III that vampires need those that bit them to pass on the blood. The Sung vampires did not go thru that process, probably due to their mutated nature.

Other explanation could be the writer did not check back the original script (human error). Or another wilder idea... Are we sure MDWAV series is only occurring on 1 timeline? (Or Hynavian's Concept? -> hehe)

This movie is kind of funny i'm not trying to say is retarded... but the whole thing is about capture those vampires. By the way the movie is driving me nuts... i don't know how to describe this movie, i know there are some parts that is sad but still it is hard to watching this movie...... too confusing.

Yes, it should be 2 different persons. But Chan 13's mind is hard to understand. Since King Yama is nowhere to be found in the hell scenes, I assume Chan 13 must have considered Di Zhang Wang the ruler of Hell. He calls all the shots in Hell in the series anyway and is the most powerful guy there.

As long as ericwanfan understands who I'm talking about, it's enough. More info will only confuse him/her more. I also don't want be asked questions like

1) Why King Yama isn't in hell then?
2) Why Di Zhang Wang rules hell if he isn't lord of hell?
3) Whose Di Zhang Wang? What's his job in hell?

Hope they do a remake of the 1st one. I love all three series. It's not confusing at all if you have watched the whole thing through and actually understand cantonese.
