Finished last epsiode.. . seems like a cliffhanger to me.. ..
Btw, when Sky tried to inscribe the works on the wall, Tin Ai realized that Sky did this 4 her.. ... however, sky didi this in order to remember Tin Ai before she really disappear, So if in Tin Ai's 2024, how can she see these words?
I mean, if she didnt disappear, Sky need not inscribe these waords on the walls, and if she really did disappear, how come she get to see these words in 2024?

What I liked about Endling
Everything was revealed, I was so amazed by the scriptwriter. He managed to make a unpredictable twist at the end of the story. Ren Wang and Shen Mu were just a "machine" created to kill Fate. Everything was an act.

What I hate about the Ending
As someone already mentioned eariler, a unecesarry part was put behind.. ... I found it very boring!
Whatever happened to Sky?
Whatever happen to You Kau?
And most importanly
Ren Wang told Siu Fu that Sheng Mu was trying to change Siu Ling fate... .... but it was never shown what was changed.. ..

After 36++ episodes, I still find the SDU part better

I've just watched episode 1 and 2. This series is so good. Unique storyline, high-qaulity CGI, beautiful costume, sets and images, not to mention good actors and actresses. The first episode is a bit confusing with shifting timeline, cryptic diolog and people doing things without explaination (the explaination come in later episodes), which might turn some people off. But this series certainly deserve more than 7 points. Too bad it's aired in the wrong station (why people won't give ATV series a chance?) and went against The Conqueror's Story which was also a very good series.

Anyway, MDWAV 2 managed to get double digit ratings, why the part 3 is so low? Where have all the WDWAV fans gone to? Is it because the series focus too much on new characters like Yeh Cha, that it turn off the fans of the original characters? I myself would certainly like to watch more of the Tin Yau, Siu Ling, Fook Sang, Yuan Ngan But Po, Yuan Ngan Mo Lui, than Yeh Cha and her dad. The back story of Yeh Cha is actually the most boring part of episode 2. But I'm pretty interested in the story of Seung Ngor.

Siu Fu is going to qppear at the later episodes.. .. after the SDU storyline wihich is about episode 18 (i think :P)
Anyway, I find SiuFu and chang er story boring!

here's info on ORIGINAL ENDING

here's an EVEN bigger incentive to buy the HK VCD set of MDWAV3--

ppt has told me from reading what 13 Chan had written at the official MDWAV3 message board (it's so cool he goes on the forums to read and actually respond to viewers' comments) regarding the original ending which will be put on the HK VCD set:

He said that Fate did not die. Fate left a bit of stuff to stay in Yau Kau's body. Originally after the last battle...Yau Kau would appear to call Fok Sing to go see Tin Yau and Siu Ling before they die and then there would be a shot where Fate smiles happily because he gets a taste of changing fate himself, so he wish that ma siu ling and fong tin yau can be alive... continue to change and create new "fate"

He likes an open ending. He thought about getting them (the fong family) to be together at the end, but he think that's too real--open ending can make the audience think...

He finally kept it because it represents his anger toward the HK TV industry. TV dramas in HK... are too standard...he's angry at how people just don't give their audience room to think

that's why ppl are shocked by this ending because they don't read much else... they just go to work...come home and watch the same thing over and over again...except the character's name is changed in each series

Looking at the low ratings of MDWAV3, seems like Chan 13's thinking might be too audience for HK viewers.

I think most audiences prefer conclusive ending. They want to know the concrete outcome of an event instead of being kept thinking and guessing. I use to be like that too. It's only recently that come to appreaciate non-conclusive endings.

I feel the majority TV audience can't accept anything too deep or confusing (I once read that HK viewers feedback for Devine Retribution is that the series is too deep). They prefer straight-foward storyline. You want relax and be entertained while watching TV after a hard days work, not raking your brain trying to figure out plot of the story.

This is a sad phenomena. More support should be given to writers who dare to be different and write something unique, instead of just follow a template. But without the support from audiences, how will studio bosses willing to churn out money to produce such series. It's not like HK have Emmy Award to give appreaciation to these series and rise the status of the production house?

The staunch TVB fans don't help matter either. When I ask my colleagues do they know any shops that rent ATV series (the shop I usually go don't have it anymore), they ask me why I watch ATV series, saying ATV series is not nice. Even when I try to recommend an ATV series to a friend, she said she doesn't watch ATV series.

Btw, is Project Ji Xiang written by Chan 13 as well?

i don't think Project Ji Xiang is written by Chan 13...cuz i remember Joey once said that she doesn't want to take part in series her husband wrote...cuz she doesn't want other people to complain about stuff...

The VCD just came out in my country a few days ago. It's in cantonese. But the dialog is exactly like the one you wrote for the mandarin version. So, I guess only the HK version is cut. The version for other countries, be it mandarin or cantonese are not cut.
