Wow, all these are actually real names of stances in Tai Chi. Most of the stances can be found in Chen Style's "Old Form" and "New Form". For example, some of the stances are simplified to form the Thirty-Eight Forms :

Stance 3. - White Crane Spreads its Wings
Stance 6. - Brushing the Knee
    Stance 7. - Twisted Step
    Stance 29. - Single Whip

So it seems Jin Yong really did his homework!

Which has made my life slightly easier. At least I didn't have to think up translations for those names (thanks to Dugu Seeking a Win for providing a list).

    hehe ZHang Sanfeng is awesome.
Underneath the fluffly, cudly exterior lies the tormented and complex creature known as the panda.

Note: I don't really proofread/edit so there might be mistakes along the way.

Shuo Bu De said: “During the time of the Heros of Mt Liang there was black whirlwind. That whirlwind spun around too!” (Note: Mt Liang is the location of the Water Margin/Outlaws of the Marsh stories. I’m not familiar Water Margin so I have no idea what Shuo Bu De is talking about.)
I think it's refering to one of the heroes of liang san, Black Whirlwind Li Kui.

Thanks. Can you give me some background on him?

Edit: Never mind. For those who want info on Li Kui, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Kui

In one moment, Ah San’s arm bones were broken in six or seven places whereas the Taiji Fist alone is not capable of generating such power. Zhang Wuji hated his wickedness so he employed the “Cloud Hands” stance repetitively.
The Cloud Hand stance is done just as described in Chen Style Taiji Quan. You can actually use it if you ever get mugged.

Even if you don't know the Nine Yang, you'd still be able to twist the mugger's hand out of action.

Well, that's it for chapter 24. Hope you guys enjoy it. Sorry for talking so long to finish the whole thing. I was pretty unmotivated and lazy at times - I'm sure you guys could tell.

I didn't do justice to the actual text but it was the best I could come up with. Maybe I'll edit it somtime to make it flow better, especially for things like tenses and grammar.
