Well, I was about the same age, but you know me, I am nuts about villians and actors who play them!

I sometimes just hope that the writers would put more depth into Yu Yi's chracter. She just stopped being important after the Emperor comes to the Yangzhou. Then So Sam had all the attention. I wish apart from learning the entertaining skills at the brothel, Yu Yi was also taught martials arts by So Sam so she can defend herself next time a pervert comes after her (She's a pervert-magnet so she will need it!).

That's why most people are complaining this series is too short and lacking characters development. I guess the scriptwriter wants to focus half on Yu Yi and the other half on So Sam therefore he have two "main" female characters. How could a simple imperial maid excel in everything so quickly? Not that I underestimate her talents, but she could've been promoted to a higher position in the palace with her intelligence.

While you're at it, I wonder how beautiful Yu Yi is supposed to be in the story, because not only she attracts a bunch of perverts, even Qian Long, Ko Sing himself and his sidekick also fall for her LOL. Tavia does look very pretty in Manchu costume though.

I've noticed the theme song sounded like an old martial arts song...a lil...just the beginning...

hahaha my ending would be....Ko Sing expresses his feelings to So Sam and Yu Yi OR who he truly loves most!!!! I'll let Chow Yat Ching follow them and marry one of the four beauties in Man Fa Lau hehe. Finally, I'm going to make the emperor regret that he chased his "han yan" away. Anyway, these are just my thoughts since I really want a clearer ending hahahaha (greedy).

This is an ancient series so of course the song has to somewhat match its theme. I wouldn't want some rap or rock & roll song to be heard in ancient series LMAO. And I personally LOVEEE this song since Adam is singing it!!!!

Agree with u on this. everytime when Ko Sing and Yu Yi were passing "electric" to each other, it's like halfway through the "process", Yu Yi ended up getting mad at Ko Sing and gave him a hard kick on the ***. if only they have one moment of peace together....all i'm begging for is just one moment and they ended up giving me such a fast ending. This just leaves me craving for more. i wonder if they'll come up with a sequel...hmm...

but i love it! cuz i have a little something for these kinda songs.if only i knew where i can get my hands on that song..

For example, when Yu Yi was being chased by Nin bo thau (the guard) for killing Yat Ching's cousin, she found Ko Sing on the street and was about to approach him as their eyes were filled with happiness, then Nin X X (forgot his name) appeared. Ko Sing had to pretend that he didn't see Yu Yi so she could escape.

The second time, they met each other on the street AGAIN, but Nin X X's men were after Yu Yi. Luckily, So Sam asked the girls to get the attention from the men on the street for Yu Yi to get away.

Last but not least, when Qian Long arrived Man Fa Lau, he wanted Ko Sing to go with him on a mission. Ko Sing was saying good bye and stuff to Yu Yi then suddenly Chow Yat Ching interrupted hahahaha I really wanted to throw the remote at my TV!!!!!

All i wanted was a bit of chemistry between Ko Sing with both the girls, although there was quite a connection between Ko Sing and So Sam there wasnt enough to convince us that they were really 'meant to be' or however you like to call it.

I must of been misinterpreted. I have nothing against the song...I quite liked it and like you said it matches the theme, I was simply saying that the theme song sounded like a real old famous martial arts song...everytime I hear this theme song it reminds me of that old one.

Thats a really corny picture of Adam Cheng! Nothing wrong with it, but it reminds me of those american teen shows where the girl slowly turns there head around...and if Adam had hair out, it would of been flicked away. If you get what I mean lol

LOL, I do memorize alot of lines in Adam's series (freaky?) I guess it's because I watch them like 10 ++ times!!!! No problem, TPS was released this year and the full themesong came out in May so you're not really late getting it

Oh! Lol my was suppose to mean what it looked like, its like hmm am i the only one who noticed it? ...sorry for the confusion lol. I hated the hair gear she wore...it was another thing that was plain..it needed accessories but then again what can you expect from a 'maid'

The show is okay didn't like the ending and i almost thought that Adam was the Emperor's instead of Marco. Anyway, i like both Sheren and Tavia in here, Joyce looks so bony to me escpecially her cheekbones...omg! She gotta put on some weight n Marco needs to lose a lot of weight!

This show was released here on wtv so I watched a few episodes again. Joyce does look skinny but it seems she has gained some weight since this series. I think Marco was intentionally made to look big cos he was an emperor (not a very good one mind you) emphasising his lazyness?? I'm not quite sure...

I don't think I've seen it with English subtitle. If you really want to see Adam then just watch the Cantonese version where you can see him and listen to his real voice as well LOL.

This serial started on the perfect footing with a great joke (which I should have seen coming, but didn't) about ferrying cannons. From that moment on my wife and I were hooked. Being an Adam fan also helps, although he more than does himself justice with his charisma. =)
