One of the best historical/fictional series
Heroine of the Han Dynasty is by far, one of the best series for a fictional historical series. Even though there were some unhistorical parts in this series, the cinematography is really well-written and thought out. The fighting was all right, but the battle scenes were really nicely shot in a lot of camera angles. A lot of people may think that the costumes are a bit too colourful, but I think it is somewhat accurate as the director was trying to aim at the right accuracy of the costumes. Jiang Qin Qin does a good job as always as she portrays her character well. Every gesture that she makes displays her emotions and deep thoughts. She is so classy! She looks really good at her older and younger stage. Nie Yuan did a good job too, at first he was this innocent boy, and then turned to a hero. The themesong is nicely composed! So warlike, there are a lot of scenes that involves with war and actions. While the ending theme had more of the "sadder" parts of the series. This series is highly recommended if you want to see Jiang Qin Qin as the historical Xin Zhui, and a one of a kind performance!

I've also been to the forum of this series in tvsensation and it used to be one of the busiest forum in there...but that was a long time ago...fans talked about this series all the time before....I wasn't really that big of a fan of nie yuan back then so I just dropped in just as it was slowing down already....too bad, there aren't many people coming in there again and so there are so little of us in here too.

I started to be a big fan for Nie Yuen since that series "Eternity", oh man, he looks so darn cold but adorable!

I had watched 1st disc (in chinese), so I can see what is going on and Guess what are their dialog!

I’m enjoying this series right now. It appears (don’t speak Mandarin) to have an incredible
amount of plotting and back-stabbing going on. There was one thing that bugged me: Shui Ling’s character is forced to leave her husband and new baby for enough time for the child to learn to walk and talk. When she finally returns the child runs to her and cries out ‘mommie’ (what’s the Mandarin word?). It’s not likely the child would know her is it?

I think before Shui Ling's character, Xin Zhui left, her child could semi talk. If you recollect in one scene, before she actually left Li Cang, her husband, she was with her child one last time. And the child looked at her and called her mother. So I guess it is accurate for the child after some years to recognize his mother.
