what in the world are the chelsea strikers paid for...
Didier Drogba was disappointing apart from that only goal he scored in the game against west brom. He missed half a dozen golden chances from close range which a top striker like him shouldnt have missed... even john terry,i bet, would've finished those wonderful chances....god gracious....he's no different than kezman...both lacking scoring touch. they've got the skills and strengths no doubt...but their finishing touch always let chelsea fans down. the problem 4 chelsea last season and this season is the same....strikers...(sigh)... maybe mourinho should try playing robert huth/cole/maybe johnson up front!

    Champions League Semifinal

    AC Milan vs Inter
    Lyon vs PSV
    Chelsea vs Bayern
    Juve vs Liverpool........

i'll be looking forward to the all italian clash between AC and Inter. Idont think Inter will have the edge over AC...though Adriano is in good form...scored 3 against Porto...

i predict it will be a Chelsea vs AC Milan final

Chelsea’s now 11 points clear at the top, with 8 more games to go. I’m pretty sure the premiership trophy will be none other than Chelsea’s. Joe Cole’s becoming more and more impressive in every game in the absence of Robben. Robben’s absence is not that much felt now. Cole’s passing movements is as good as the Dutch winger’s and goals have been coming in from him and he assists in few of the Chelsea goals scored recently. Duff’s been a little off the spell lately though. And kezman….still not really that impressive…those 2 goals he scored against Palace were just lucky goals. Chelsea’s still got to face the likes of Arsenal, ManU, & Newcastle, but they’ll be able to overcome these eventually.

I think that Chelsea would not win the Championship League this year. They just look a bit dicy at times.

Not that my Man U was much better.

I agree with Han Solo about Chelsea this year. They are not going to win the Champion this year.

I think Liverpool will with the Championship this year.

Liverpool? they are facing Juventus in the next round...not that i'm looking down on Benitez's men, but i think Juve's far too strong for them to counter. keep in mind, Juve just dumped Real Madrid out of the champions League

I pick Liverpool. I've always been a Micahel Owen fan (I'm also a Ruud Van Nisterloy fan of Man United, kind of wierd knowing that you have to be either one or the other). It's hard to follow the UEFA and European soccer here in the states. It sucks that most of the games come on while I'm at school.

Michael Owen isn't with Liverpool now though.

Yeah, he was. But he was sold at the beginning of the season to Real Madrid for about £8 millions I believe.

And Owen came on as a sub most of the time in Spain.haha.he should've just stayed in Liverpool in the first place.at least he's guaranteed first team football at Liverpool. Anyone saw the England world cup qualiying match yesterday? Though Owen scored twice, but i'm not overall impressed with his performance last night. He and Beckham were the worst English players on the pitch. on the other hand, Joe Cole was impressive on his first England start. i just dont understand Eriksson...he should drop beckham...he has been terrible for England since the last world cup.

I don't care who wins - just as long its not an England based team...

Go either AC Milan or Inter Milan... At least one of them will go through to the Semis....

    English Football sucks plenty...

Remember that there was a time when the Premiership ranks no. 1 in the world according to the newsies?

I think that they will rank probably 2 or 3 right now, with Serie A no. 1 , and the Spanish Liga no. 2-3.

seems like you're against English football... it's not really as bad as u think
AC Milan's facing Inter... ...and the winner will be playing either Lyon/PSV, so there's a big chance for either AC or Inter to go through to not just the semis, but the final.

You can get pretty good updates on football from www.soccernet.com. That site focuses more on English football though it's coverage of other European leagues is quite decent.

It's just Milan, nobody refers to AC Milan as "AC".

by the way, France drew again yesterday in the world cup qualifier against Israel ,if i'm not mistaken....god, i doubt if the French would be able to qualify for Germany 2006 in their group.

The other one is traditionally known as Inter. So it's Milan and Inter.

I think AC simply means football club (abbreviated form) in Italian...
so saying Inter and AC...is like Inter and 'football club'????

    anyway...back to topic

Milan seems to have the 'easiest' route to the final...no disrespect to other teams.....If Bayern Munich can get past Chelsea then they might be favourites
( German teams are incredibly hard to break down)....Juventus played a out-of-form Real Madrid..so I don't know if they can withstand teams like AC Milan or Bayern Munich but you never know when youve got the likes of Del Pierro and Ibrahimavic(spl?) in attack.
