Q: Is the Tang Qi Qi in Unbeatable similar to your ideal girlfriend?
HG: If I met a Tang Qi Qi in real life, I would consider 'taking' her. I like these kinds of girls-they have a pure/naive aura. She can not understand me, but I am willing to unconditionally tolerate it.

Q: Is the Xu Ran in Unbeatable your idea of a handsome Prince?
TY: No. He is too cold, and doesn't easily smile. He always 'pulls a long face'. Only when he is with Tang Qi Qi does he crack a smile. He is too rational; living with this kind of person would be really tiring. I am not really looking for a romantic partner. I just feel that someone who hardly smiles will not make life fun.

Q: What qualities would your 'Prince' have?
TY: He doesn't need to be particularly handsome (even so, he has to have normal features), but he needs to have good taste. A good temper, someone with a good sense of responsibility, who can make me feel safe.

Q: In the drama, you play a businessman; have you thought about being a white collar worker if you weren't an actor?
HG: The Xu Ran I play in Unbeatable is actually a gold collar businessman, and deserves it too. I cannot imagine myself in Xu Ran's situation-it is too far from my real world. I don't really want to be a 'collar' worker.

TY: I wouldn't want to. Because I do not like to obey rules, something that never changes, the same things from dawn to dusk-an ordered life makes me feel tedious. I like interesting careers-even though actors are always acting, the characters and their personalities always change.

Q: From PAL3 to Unbeatable and XYS3, you guys have collaborated three times. How do you see each other?
HG: Tang Yan is the typical Shanghai girl-too familiar, like the girl next door.

TY: The feeling of a confidante/adviser, who knows you really well. Since we're from the same hometown, we have an extra bit of intimacy.

Q: Many fans think that you guys are the next screen couple after FengMi. Do you think this is a possibility between you two?
HG: Who knows what will happen the next second? (witty answer, perfect.)

TY: We've known each other 3 years-too familiar. Because we are from the same hometown, when we met, we just started joking around and never worrying whether we would be angry with what we say to each other. But when two people date, there should be some mystery. Like us, it wouldn't be easy for us to think that way. So currently, there is no sign of such things happening, but it is not impossible. (What is TY hinting at? )

Q: Since you both say you can't be each other's girl/boy friend, what do you think the other lacks?
HG: Lacks the ability to scheme.

TY: Doesn't lack anything. Has an extra tendon/vein. The 'jin' of 'chou jin' [spasm]. He likes to do queer things (not sure how to properly translate 'chou feng' in this context. This is like Chinese slang).

Q: Do you still wish to co operate with her/him?
HG: In recent months after XYS, no. It disturbs me when I'm flirting. ( laughed so hard when I read this.)

TY: If there is a chance, then I have no problem with it.

Q: If you guys co operate again, what relationship do you want to act as?
HG: A master/servant one. I play the master, she plays the servant.

TY: In Unbeatable, I play a commoner, he plays a boss. I wish next time we can switch around-I be the rich person and he the commoner. In terms of relationship, we've already acted as a couple. I would want to collaborate as enemies next time.

Q: School has started, and a new class will enter the Theatre Academy (First or Second classes). What advice do you have to give?
HG: Be a star, or just a commoner. Can't be both.

TY: Enter the gates thinking what you usually think. Keep a good attitude and find your place. When you first enter, you will feel slightly confused and be easily mislead. Spend your time studying. In the end, actors need to have a good cultural education. A confident heart makes acting much easier.
