Default Question about real life fight

I was thinking, if we have 2 modern expert FIGHTERS, one specializing in sword and one specializing in weaponless form (i.e. fist and kicks), assuming they both reach elite level in their respective style, does the sword fighter necessarily have an advantage in a GENERAL street fight where ALL BETS ARE OFF? What situational limitations and can you think of for both sides?

Weapons offer many advantages over bare hands/feet alone.

    1. Increased range,
    2. Immediate damage (especially cutting weapons)
    3. Better concentrators of energy in time and space; think of the energy concentrated at the blade edge at the point of impact.

It will be very difficult for the weaponless fighter to be on the offensive. Blocking the sword's attack with the hand is risky business and the thought that your attacks may be parried by a sword and possibly hurting your hand is not very appealing.

In real life, if your opponent has a weapon and you're bare-handed, you run instead of fight.

In real life, it's obvious that the person wielding a weapon would have a big advantage over the weaponless person.

i don't really think the person with the sword would have to much of an advantage!!
when talking about a sword we have to take into consideration the lenght the weight of it. heavy swords mean less recovery time if miss a critical attack disadvantage to use, small swords brings opponents to close range giving the bare hands guy slight advantage. so it's hard to say but it'll be a good match to watch. I personally think it'll be like this Swords guy(SG) fist guy(FG)
    SG:attack
    FG:dodge
    SG:attack/miss
    FG:dodge/counter and connect
    SG:stumble/counter and cuts
    FG:stumbles
SG:move in for kill(crital attack) misses
FGerfect timming dodges and catches the hand using the sword breaks the arm
    SG:drops sword moves back
FG:moves in for kill and snap the now deffensless sword guys neck
    LOL

NOTE: i have no experience in any sort of combat LOL the above is purly my ideas and opinions. Hahahahahaha just wanted to add that in 4fun

lol, i think the armed person has a huge advantage especially if u state that the sword person has reached the highest level.
but of course there are ways, sword is really ineffective in short range, like less that say 40cm, but of course if he was really good at sword there are ways to counter that problem.
but also depends on environment, if its in a tight alley where they cant even swing the sword, i think the fist guy has advantage.

but all in all, armed has a greater advantage
