    Default Time Travel/Alternate Realities/History Changing/Time Paradox/Fate/What if movies

Can you guys recommend some paranormal movies about time and/or fate?

Examples: The Butterfly Effect, Fequency, Final Destination, Back To The Future.

    Any other such movies?

Btw, u guys should try "The Butterfly Effect". Very interesting movie. Of course, like all time paradox movies, there's some illogical espect in TBE too, but the movie's still enjoyable. Read that it has 4 endings. I've only seen the director's cute ending and hope to see the other 3 endings.

Also, I've actually haven't seen "Final Destination" yet. Is it any good?

Final Destination is pretty suspenseful. Saw it 5 years ago though.

Hm. Something that involves time-travelling and fate. I can only think of My Sassy Gal.

No need to have 2 espect together. Time-travel or fate alone also can. Movies like "Sliding Doors" also can.

No, nothing to do with time travel. Just a sci-fi writer.

how about "second time around" with ekin cheng and cecilia cheung?

and let's not forget steven chow's "pandora box" 1 and 2 (the best in my opinion and so hilarious!) and also "god of gamblers: back to shanghai".

of course, "future cops" can't be left out either with an all-stars cast.

that's all i can think of and i did enjoy all these movies as much as they can be enjoy!

plenty of Korean and Japanese movies do these too but with a more melodramatic slant. They're still good watches though.

    Korea:

Ditto (Guy in present talks to girl in past via a HAM radio transmitter)

Il Mare (Girl in present communicates with girl 2 years in the past via a 'magical' mailbox)

The Classic (Girl finds old letters to her dead mother from her old lover)

Failan (Guy is asked to sign the death certificate of a wife he only married to help her get a work permit and earn some bucks in the process and from reading her old letters, learns more about her)

    Japan:

Love Letter (Girl gets a letter to her dead fiance which helps her learn more about his past)

Crying out Love, From the Centre of the World (Guy and girl rediscovers their past via some old cassette recordings from the guy's first love who died from an illness)

Does "Jumanji" with Robin Williams fit the category? I think so, has changing history and the fate of the characters.

BIG starring Tom Hanks - One day Tom as a kid went to the carnival and got his wish granted which was to be big. Next morning he finds out he's all grown up and can no longer fit his clothes. Then starts working at a toy company. That's a time paradox right?

Then there's Disney's The Kid with Bruce Willus(sp?) and Spencer?, that includes history changing/fate, and time travel.

Oh yeah Thirteen going on Thirty with Jennifer Garner is another alternate reality movie.

Time machine is actually a pretty good movie. It's just the beginning that's really boring, but I would recommend it cause I can really see the world heading into that direction.

I wouldn't recommend Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind if you're not into chick flicks.

Eternal is a chick flick? The review I read in amazon.com made it sound like a deep psychological movie.

It's a romantic movie that involves psychological elements, people entering their own minds and examining their own memories etc etc.

As for Time Travel. That piece of crap is a travesty. My opinion is totally different from ZhaoZilong, I thought the best part of it was BEFORE he time-travelled (can you believe it? A time-travelling movie that sucked when the hero started time travelling...)

Donnie Darko is good. Quite a hard movie to understand though.
All that's needed to say have been said, why say anything more? The man is drunk, why stay any longer?....

Wow, there're so many such movies out there.

Went to the DVD shop yesterday. Bought 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless' ,'Timeline' and 'Rashomon'.

Didn't see 'Donnie Darko' there. I think older, not very well known film will be harder to find unless it's classics like 'Rashomon'.
