the thing with me is that i don't watch dramas with a bad ending... i mean, if i have to spend 14+ hr watching one... it better be a good ending just to make it worth.... haha! even if it is not realistic... that is still ok... at least everybody is happy...

sustisa, about your description of the classic thai lakorn ending... from the couple lakorns that i have watched... you are right on it... i already have the hang of it... haha! and i am always a sucker for it too... nothing better then the loving couple on the beach where the sunset is setting... makes my day....

about thai music... still discovering a little at the time... right now, i like bodyslam... and a few songs from some of the thai lakorn that i have seen.... will need to explore more....
Bodyslam are good, love most of there songs especially "kwarm cheur feat Add carabao" my favourite Bodyslam song. If you like Bodyslam, you should try listening to Clash or Potato, there style is quite similar. Plus Bang from Clash is quite fine, in that bad-boy kind of look. but Pup from Potato is really cute too, but he looks better in person, cas I never thought he was good looking until I actually met him! Not only do I love Thai series, I also love Thai music too, I listen to nearly every genre, I even like some "Luk toong" songs!

I sooo agree! man it makes me soo mad when i watch a series and it gets sooo good and so interesting, but at the end i come to find that someone has to die or its a terrible sad ending and they dont get each other cos someone ends up dying, that piss me off!! I hate to see them fight for each other for sooooooooooo long, and at the end they dont get each other.. that is a total waste of good timing!!! Thats why if theres a kdrama that i do kinda wanna watch (which believe me there is hardly any!!!) i have to make sure its a good ending..

I wonder why korean people loves to do that so much with there dramas?? makes me think most of korean folks ends up dying due to some sort of illness..

Yeah I don't like sad endings either, and luckily most Thai series have happy endings. But I don't mind a well rounded sad ending, if they explain why they can't be togther then I'm kind of fine by it, but I hate it when one dies suddenly or just gets sick in like the last episode. I also hate rushed endings, chinese, TVB in particular, tend to have the worst endings cas they are too rushed. I think the reason why they have a sad ending is they think it will leave a lasting impression on the audience, when in most cases it just gets them mad, and it probably worked in 1-2 series and they just kind of stuck with it, hoping it would be the same for latter series.

ascandaloussin, I'm sorry I don't know where you could D/L that series, though I was wondering if you watched there other series "samee" with Joy & Pol too, I actually like that other series heaps more, was actually kind of dissapointed with "samee ngen pon" cas I really liked "samee", storyline was a lot better.

Im glad im not the only one who feels like that! It leaves me super mad if i waste soo much time watching and all i get is a sad and super bad ending that makes no sense because of all the fighting to be with each other.. thank goodness most thai lakorns dont do that, unless their reasons are super good!

Yep i've seen "Samee" with Joy and Pol, loved it too! I actually got both series, but i somehow lost "samee Ngen pon" I really like both "Samee" and "Samee Ngen Pon"!!! I think they both should get married for real.. ahahaha.. They look soo good together! For me i dont see any disapointment in neither of them, i thought they both were played out soo well, and both of them did such a good job with the seriest.. well for "samee Ngen pon" when Joy goes to the country side to go get Pol, i was soo hoping that her prego tummy would be big bc they way it was played out, it seems to be a very long time already, but her tummy was still small.. but either way, i love both those two series!!!

thanks anyways, I know that Samee is on youtube, but Same Ngen Pon is not, if not, maybe i can try the movie stores, which i doubt they have it!

i did check clash, potato and loso... i like some of their songs... for me, the thing with bodyslam is that even though i don't understand thai 100%... their music melody is good enough for me to listen to their song over and over again... that is how i am learning thai too... with lyric translation....that other song that i really like is "honeymoon" by flure featuring nadia... duno why but it just make me happy....

i saw "samee" listed on youtube too.. what is the story about? is it good?

ok, i need a recommendation and a brainless and alltime classic lakorn... something in the line of rich boy and dirt poor girl and everything else in between... i haven't seen one yet... so i wanna experince one. =)

so last night, i checked out rahut rissaya... 1 episode down.... it was very interesting.... almost did not reconize noon... she is very different here... the pha-ek... not as handsome as chakrit =) but will see how he handles his role...

omg... haha! i did notice that the pha-ek in rahut rissaya's house is the same one as the pha-ek in JLR... i swear that it is the same house... can't mistake the shape of the house... the fountain in the front yard and the grand entrance...
well, i guess, there are too many lakorn going on... so the producers have to recycle.... right?

Most of those big houses are the same houses.. Noon is soo pretty in that series! well shes always so pretty anyways. ahaha.. but yeah, i've notice that its always the same few houses.. and like those series that has the beach houses, are always the same houses too.. like in the Aum and Oil series, they use the same beach house as in Leh ratree and few other ones..

Im hoping to finish watching rahut rissaya soon! whenever i get the chance!

I love Samee.. You should really check it out.. Its about Joy who is from a branch of high class family, but is going bankrupt, Pol is a rich Chinese Business man with no title beside his business, his father and Joy's mother falls in love, got married and joy disagreed with the wedding and was very mean to her step father so he sorta got joy to marry one of his son b/c she was going to be pennyless.. but the son he wanted Joy to marry was Pol's younger brother who needs some sense of directions.. he refuses to marry Joy and never showed up to the engagement, so Pol who is the good son decides to marry Joy b/c he didnt want his father to loose face (but really he likes her).. Joy hated the family so much that she thought that they did that on perpose so she'll loose face.. Joy's boyfriend was bought by Pol's sister so he can settle some of Joy's depts for her, but joy didnt see it that way...and it goes on.. Its a great series! you'll like it!

"Sabaidee Luang Prabang" sounds like a very good movie....

Sabaidee Luang Prabang stars Ananda Everingham as a Lao-Australian photographer who returns to his father's home country of Laos and gets in touch with his heritage during a trip that takes him the length of the country. Along the way, he bonds and falls in love with his female guide, played by Laotian beauty queen Khamlek Pallawong.

Another Thai band that I can recommend you is Endorphine, the lead singer is a girl and her voice is really good. They are coming to Melb for a concert this Weds, I can't wait.

Ananda Everingham is the guy from Shutter. One of my favourite Thai movie by the way. I'd lent that to all my Caucasian work mates and they really liked it, they all thought that it was pretty scary.

That series, "leurd nai din" with Kwan and Arnut isn't really that good, I was pretty dissapointed with it. Its not a bad series, but it could have been better.

Opps sorry for the bad grammer.. was trying to fit it within my break.

ahaha i know, they recycle people and houses and just about everything! But im used to it now, which is fine with me..

Yep "Samee" was well worth the time watching! I really enjoyed it! Pol and Joy are actually one of my favorite couples!!!

Yep Its the same guy from Shutter...Ananda Everingham... He's not all that but there's something different about him.. I dont recall Ananda in any lakorns, but he makes alot of big screen movies...

After watching Shutter, i was freaked out for a whole month! At the time when i saw Shutter few years ago, i was still working at a fast food, and i had to open the store, man i was so scared to drive at 4am for a whole month, if not even longer! It is a good Movie too! One of the scariest Movies i've ever seen!

Speaking of the movie Shutter, the american is doing a remake of the movie. Heard about it like a week ago and saw a preview of it as well.

Da Endorphine can sing, like most of her song.

as for me haven't watch any lakorn lately, most of them right now is uninteresting. the theme song Jum leoy Ruk is pretty good, cant get that song out of my head right now. Heard the old version of this song as well.

Yeah I know that they are doing a remake of Shutter, that sucks, I havent seen the american preview to it, but im not too excited about it!! Each time American people does remakes of any movies, they always turn out to be pretty sucky! THere was a long fight and debate about the Korean all time favorite movie "my sassy girl" was suppose to be remade but many fan are opposing to it.. THis American remake has been in production since 2006.

My other husband Num Sornram was hospitalized yesterday for getting bitten by a poisonous animal/creature. I'm not sure what it is exactly. But he's safe now. I wish him well!

Anyone watching Noi, Benz, and Teya's action lakorn? I saw the first episode and it looked soooo fake. I had to go watch Sung Thong just to not go insane.

    MELB as in Melbourne, Australia.

If you want to buy Shutter with English subtitles, you're better off buying it at a Chinese store which sells all Asian movies and not through Thai Websites cas the Thai copies don't come with English subtitles. Thats how I found mine.

Ananda's played in a few lakorns before, though his lakorns aren't very popular cas they aren't mainstream enough (aired on ch9/ITV) which is probably why you've never heard of them, but at the moment he is the like the most popular guy for movies, all the producers want him in there movies. The guys not very handsome like Tik J, but his got sex appeal, theres just something about him.

Yeah I was pretty scared after I watched Shutter, couldn't take a photo for awhile and when my neck hurt *shiver* that last scene in the hospital freaked me right out. You know what, I'd probably watch the American version just to compare and see if they've changed anything and see if the effect is the same or not.

Yeah that "Jum leuy rak" song is pretty classic, I still remember how to sing it even after all these years.......I love some of those old classic lakorn songs. Heck I love most lakorn songs.

Anyone watching Noi, Benz, and Teya's action lakorn? I saw the first episode and it looked soooo fake. I had to go watch Sung Thong just to not go insane.
Your other Husband? how many do you have? Lol I don't have husbands, I just have a collection!

I haven't seen that lakorn yet, but I will be, I like most of the people in this lakorn well except for that guy who stars with Teya. Wait are you saying that Sung Thong is less fake then this lakorn!???

I have quite a few husbands.

You don't like Gosin? He's alright. Plus he has that young face which matches with Teya. But I wanted Teya to get with Paul.

LOL!!! At least Sung Thong is a boran lakorn, therefore we know it'll be packed with special effects and stuff. But in Teya, Noi, and Benz's lakorn I just hate that they're super top secret agents called 'Nung Mew Pa' it's so... i don't know. I find it kinda funny. And their fighting scene is rather gay. And did you see when they removed their masks? Right when they take off their mask their whole leather 'Nang Mew Pa' outfit came on. It was like... buried under all those clothes they were wearing. Teya's I understand. But Noi was wearing a short sleeve dress. And that lady was way skinnier than Noi. hehehe

Yeah I don't really like that Gosin guy, actually its not that I don't like him but I don't find anything special about, his neither cute, handsome, or has a memorable personality nor is he a great actor, or even played a memorable character. Basically he's got nothing that appeals to me. Come to think of it, I don't really like anyone in that power 3 club. All my fave Ch3 actor/actress are older ones like Janie, Benz, Vicky, Bib, Rita, Cherie, Dom, Mew, ect.... so basically everyone before power 3 club! Lol

I've been a bit behind in some thai series, just started watching Stefan & Pancake series, I can't pronounce the title, man Pancake is really cute in this series though Stefan seems a little out of place as the halfie farmer boy, it doesn't quite suit him. His much better off as a rich boy like in "loung ngao juhn". Apart from Pancake, I really like Rotmere & Oawn Rungsit, esp Oawn, his really funny. I also like the friendship between the 3 poor boys and the 3 rich "girls". And Pancake's parents are quite funny too, her mum is so over-the-top.
