    The cutest scene! The actor for Zhong isn't good-looking but he did a great job as ZZ.

    Oh, those pictures bring back such bittersweet memories. Adorable couple! I love all their scenes together. When I first watched the series, I was wondering who Jing was going to love, if anybody. I thought the actor for Zhong was very plain looking and was bias against him (yes, very shallow of me ). But he slowly won me over with his cool persona. So caring and protective of Jing. At first he took care of her because she was the princess, but later, it was because he loved her.

    I was moved to tears when Zhong told his teacher... something along the line... "I should have died years ago with my parents and I should have died with Jing. Now, please let me go be with them." My memory isn't that great. Watched it so long ago .

    Her death, then his death

    Which part was that? Right after the princess dies or after that?

    When Princess Jing died, Zhong's teacher made it looked like he had killed his student. However, his teacher loved him too much to do that. He secretly saved him and hid the fact that he was alive. Zhong was like a living zombie afterward and had no will to live. He doesn't appear again until near the end where he gets poisoned by the evil girl that loves HHB. His teacher wanted to save him, but he was intent on dying and refused. I don't remember if his teacher had the ability to rid the poison, but for sure he could delay Zhong's death.

    I thought SFF & FBB had very good chemistry as teacher and student. Their personalities were polar opposites so it was very cute to see them together. I just didn't like the fact that FBB's character was not too moved when she heard of Jing's death. She just showed a sad face and that was it. I was expecting a couple tears or something. It felt like nobody cared for Princess Jing except for Zhong.

    Oh dear...that's just tragic! I thought the part the princess died was especially sad because she was already blind and she couldnt even see her homeland and the person she loves even before she died.

    I've yet to watch till that part but that is so bad of the director..the princess was so sweet and loyal to her teacher! Actually the princess may be all bratty and cheeky but she has the most tragic life. The emperor doesnt care abt her and even asked the guards to lock her hands! And just when she finds true happiness, she cannot have it.

    Am still annoyed at the fact that the princess had so little screentime and died so fast. SFF's 2nd female lead after all...would have loved more screentime btw her and Zhong but alas..

    Yeah, Zhong's death depressed me a lot. A very touching and loving couple. What a shame...

    Oh don't mention the emperor. What a horrible father! It was bad enough sending her off to a foreign land to marry someone she doesn't know, but to chain her down as well? He didn't even show any emotions after her death . I kinda understand the need for political marriages, but he could have done it in a more loving manner.

    SFF may be 2nd lead with limited screen time, but her performance impressed me. Hey, to outshine the lead is not always easy. She was just so adorable even when bratty and acting the spoiled little princess.

    How can he be so cold..I remember one part the princess told her teacher that the emperor dotes on her the most and she even cooks for him personally. Then how come he's not heartbroken after she dies? Oh well..thats reality in ancient times. He must be fuming that the princess messed up the relations by killing herself instead of trying to understand why she did it. And a question, does anyone know what kind of tribal people are the Wa Chi people? Their dressing don't look like mongolians to me..I can only think of either the Khitans or Jins.

    BTW, HXM has a guest role for a grand total of 5mins in episode 27. He looked much fairer and fresher back then.

    he was all over the front cover of my copy though

    Jing dying was the most heartwrenching bit of the entire series...
    i was annoyed that Yun Lei never really did anything after her death. It was mentioned, but they could have done something more with it...

    Anyway the feeling i've got from Yun Lei is that she doesnt really care about the princess as much as the latter did to her. Sure she was touched by her disciple's actions but somehow, i just felt that she did not "love" Jing'er as much as Jing'er did her.

    I find the part after Jing's death pretty boring and drag-y and especially silly was the part Yun Lei decides to give up her hatred and revenge. Her emotions and mind changed so fast that it wasn't convincing at all. The lover's swordplay thingy was pretty dumb and rushed as well. I liked Yun Lei at first but she grows a little boring as the series progresses, and FBB practically has the same expressions throughout. I think Han Xue, who acts as TTJM is even more interesting to watch now.

    That was exactly how I felt too. The way Jing treated Yun Lei was very genuine and loving. None of the hautiness usually from a spoiled princess. It seemed like Yun Lei accepted Jing's presence more than anything else. Like I said before, nobody really cared for Jing except for Zhong

    FBB could pratically blend into the background. Her character was ok in the beginning, but it gradually got too boring for me. Good thing there was HHB; otherwise, I would have stopped watching after Jing died.

    I love the ending theme..i'll probably keep listening till i get sick of it ..

    I heard the singers are the actors for ZZ and TTJM..they've got very lovely voices! It would have been sweet if SFF sung the song with the actor for Zhang Zhong, Sun Hao is his name i think..but i dont think SFF sings

    Just finished the last episode yesterday. Imo, the later parts of the series was pretty boring and the last couple of episodes were rather messy. I thought Tantai Mie Ming jumped down the cliff together with his sister, then how come he appears again later on?..weird!

    I also grew somewhat sick of Danfeng and Yunlei's "love overcomes all odds" slogan towards the end.

    And HXM appears for another 5mins in episode33.

    i just started watching ping zong xia ying yesterday night (pretty late huh). i never wanted to watch it before becuase i don't particulary like huang hai bing and heard that the plot wasn't that good but one of my friends just can't stop talking about zhong and jing so i decided to check it out for myself. don't think much of jing yet but i have to say fang bing bing looks extremely pretty in this drama. i never noticed that she was so beautiful. it seems like the majority of people here care more for the other pair though. just one to ask, are zhong and jing important or unimportant side characters. in otherwords, how much to they come out.

    They are pretty important side characters. In fact, they're the second lead couple after HHB and FFB. But it's a pity they have minimum screentime together, Zhong has slightly more screentime thn Jing though, who appears for practically less than half of the series I found the HHB and FBB pairing nice in the beginning but it grew boring as the series progressed and one of the reasons was the more interesting Jing/Zhong pairing. After Princess Jing died, the series grew pretty draggy and boring imo.

    And yes, i dont find FBB pretty before but I found her exceptionally beautiful in this series. Maybe its the make-up, clothes, hair and i think she lost some weight such that her features look sharper. Her character was interesting to watch in the beginning and middle, especially when she disguises as a guy, which she looked pretty cool as. But Yunlei gradually grows bland and boring as the series progresses, especially towards the end since she practically lost all of that strong-headedness and guts in the beginning and settled for an almost passive attitude towards her lover and enemies. FBB's acting also grows somewhat bland as the series progresses and she wears practically the same stoned expression throughout the 2nd half of the series.

    this is not bluegirl but these are the lyrics

    蝴蝶多愉快,
    hu die duo yu kuai
    How joyful are butterflies

    飞进秋风中双双对对;
    fei jing qiu feng zhong shuang shuang due due
    Flying in pairs in the autumn wind

    蝴蝶多愉快,
    hu die duo yu kuai
    How joyful are butterflies

    刀光剑影中来来回回;
    dao guang jian ying zhong lai lai hui hui
    Coming and going in the flashes and shadows of knives and swords

    我在你回头时飞走,
    wo zai ni hui tou shi fei zou
    I fly away when you turn around

    剩下残缺的海誓山盟;
    sheng xia can que de hai shi shang meng
    Leaving behind an incomplete swear

    直等到风把心蚀空,变成了蛹.
    zhi deng dao feng ba xing shi kong, bian cheng le yong
    Until the wind eats away at the heart, and becomes a cocoon

    花顺着水流,无止又无休;
    hua shung zhe shui liu, wu zhi you wu xiu
    Flowers flow down the water, not ending nor resting

    花顺着水流,听琵琶独奏.
    hua shung zhe shui liu, ting bi pa du zou
    Flowers flow down the water, listen to the pi ba (an instrument) play its solo

    那变成了翅膀的手,怎么难以挥走爱恨情愁.
    na bian cheng le chi bang de shou, ze me nan yi hui zou ai heng qing chou
    The hand that has transformed into a wing, why is it hard to flap away love and hate

    梦里飞来,恩恩爱爱;
    meng li fei lai, en en ai ai
    Fly into dreams, where we love each other

    梦醒离开,欢乐不在;
    meng xing li cai, huan le bu zai
    Leave when the dream awakens, happiness is no longer present

    只留眼神,谁的眼神;
    zhi liu yan sheng, shui de yan sheng
    Only leaving a glance, whose glance?

    思念空白,望着天外;
    si nian kong bai, wang zhe tian wai
    Thoughts are blank, glancing out into the sky

    等待
    deng dai
    waiting.

    Oh, so happy! Finally found the theme song. Alas, it is only tv ripped and there is a static sound at the very end . Tis ok, better than nothing . Beggars can't be choosers...
