Yes, Ady is the female lead.

argh. i didn't even like Ady in the Outsiders even though everyone else seemed to have.

She was alright in The Outsiders. The character wasn't that likeable but I thought Ady's acting in there was really good and natural considering that she was still relatively new to acting at that time.

ironic how Liu Xue Hua was once upon a time the queen of "damsel in distress"

I'm the opposite I've always found Liu Xue Hua to have very fierce and cold-looking eyes. She played a rather good wicked witch role of Empress Lu in "Miracle Healers".

Wow I haven't followed actress news in forever...excuse me for being too lazy to look back, but is this another remake?

In general I think watching QY series is a waste of life since it's always 爱得死去活来 and too much drama and stupid coincidences (Mei Hua San Luo *yuck*), but that didn't stop me from watching Yi Lian You Meng As for her novels - it's romance. It's like Nicholas Sparks for me - I'll read it, possibly like it and cry a little, but it's nothing...life-changing...for me.

Yeah...isn't Liu Xue Hua the one who played Lu Yiping in Yan Yu Meng Meng? I've only seen one episode of that series (it's old) and in that one Yiping was crying over her dad's death, so I didn't exactly get to see if LXH could pull of Yiping's personality. In QSSYMM Yiping was kind of a "damsel" with her "Shuhuan!! I need Shuhuan or else I can't live on!" But in the book version of YYMM at least, Yiping is a force to be reckoned with! Ruthless, vengeful, manipulative...almost too much for my liking...and she can definitely live on without a guy.

I'm not too optimistic about how good of a project this is for Ady...for starters, that costume is not her best look. But yeah, at least she's the lead.

The poll is a mixed between mainland, taiwanese and hk actresses. As for why Ady isn't included, it could probably be due to her popularity in China; as many have pointed out, the poll is based more on popularity than really the question of beauty. Nonethless, I thought Ady's popularity would have garnered her a spot in the poll for she's become rather well-known in China over the past few years.
