Whoa...nice. Yan Kuan? Who's he playing. Which Yang Zi is it? The producer guy or the girl from the family sitcom whose name I'm blanking on.

Yan Kuan plays Yan Qing while Yang Zi (producer/actor) plays the Emperor. They'll both be involved in a sort of love triangle with Ady's character, Li Shi Shi.

    *Faints*

Could they have picked a better looking cast? No I don't think so. Producer Yang Zi is such a hottie.

Wow... Yan Kuan _and_ Ady An- quite a cute cast indeed!

I think the role of a famous prostitute who had an emperor as her regular client (given the emperor has plenty of women to pick from!) seems very cool... almost a political position. I hope they give Li Shishi a lot of character development, multi-faceted relationship developments and key plot scenes as well! (Though I do associate Water Margin more with being an "action and politics" driven type of series- where sometimes the women characters are not given as much attention.)

Though, from the link seems like in the story at least Yan Qing has a sworn sibling-hood with Li Shishi, possibly they'll change to a romantic tension of some sort in the series? Interestingly in the Yan Qing link below, in fact it sounds like Yan Qing "made use of Li Shishi to get to the Emperor" making it unclear he even was sincere in being her sworn-brother... which would be too bad since I'd love to see a Ady-YK pairing!

Thanks for the clip! Looks like its going to be another sad drama. Why are Ady's taiwanese dramas always so tragic? Actually come to think of it, she almost always has a tragic end in most of the works she's starred in.

Her character sounds and looks quite similar to her role in "The Outsiders". Gentle and demure girl who is really good at the piano. Apparently the first episode will air on Oct 4th and filming will officially wrap up in Nov.

I'm not really familiar with the original story but I watched a few episodes of the old adaptation (produced by ZJZ) and I remember it being a very male-orientated/dominated series. In fact, the only female character I remember is Pan Jinlian (Wu Song's sis-in-law).

2nd trailer released for "Next Stop, Happiness".

Seems like Vanness no longer plays a lawyer but an ice hockey player instead? Ady looks very pretty in the trailer.

And Ady visiting Joe Chen on the set of "Easy Fortune Happy Life", which ends its run this Sunday while "Next Stop, Happiness" takes over its slot next sun.

Someone took a picture of the official poster for "Xia Yi Zhan Xing Fu" (Next Stop, Happiness) and apparently the english title is "Autumn's Concerto".

    A brief synopsis:

Ren Guang Xi, a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He's the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Chen, the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Chen does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Chen teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory. His mother begs Mu Chen to leave him and the latter has no choice but to do so. Little does she know that she already has Guang Xi's child.

Six years pass. Mu Chen lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi's heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Chen. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time? Happiness, which stop do i alight at?

Oh my god. The synopsis actually sounds so beautiful and touching! It doesn't even seem like a Taiwan production anymore, more like one of those melodramatic Korean dramas (that I hate), but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless!

I agree that it seems more like a Korean soap rather than a typical Taiwanese idol drama which usually tends to be more clownish, silly and exaggerated.

Thanks for the synopsis! IT sounds really interesting and sort of reminds me of the series"The Kid From Heaven'. I hope that it will have a good ending. It is great to see Ady in a Taiwanese series since I have not seen her in one yet.

I only hope it doesn't turn out too long-winded and teary.

Anyway, it's Ady's birthday today. She celebrated her birthday on set and posed for the camera with Vanness and the child actor who plays her son:

    Thanks for the clips, Sunny!

I've always been a fan of Ady's crying scenes. And watching those clips, I remember why I liked them: she really knows how to cry, and doesn't look completely fake at all, unlike some actresses.
