Just heard the short sample and though i still find her singing very average, i kinda like the song..i probably like this song the best out of all the other song samples she has released so far.

Her debut album has been scheduled for release yesterday, 13th May and is titled, "I'm a Libra". Here's a shot of the front cover for the album..sadly, she doesnt look very pretty or attractive...i've seen much better shots of her, the angle of her face is not very flattering.

Yep if some say she's adorable/cute, that I can possibly get but Xi Shi is supposed to be beautiful and I expect someone with really striking features which she unfortunately doesn't have.

I dont think she's too plain but i do agree she's not beautiful enough to play Xi Shi. Furthermore, Ady's prettiness is more of the cutesy, modern and chic type; i think she looks good in ancient costume but let's just say there are many other actresses who look more striking and beautiful than her in costume. Not many actresses can carry off those long, flowy gowns and huge/decorated headgear type of look

Ady is playing Xi Shi, who is however, a supporting character in this particular series. The series, entitled "Wo Xin Chang Dan/The Great Revival" has been aired in various parts of China a couple of months or so back but the response has not been outstanding, which was disappointing for the cast and producers since they spent alot on filming and it was supposedly hailed as one of the top/must-watch grand productions of 06/07.

If you're planning to watch the series just because of Ady, then take note of these minus points. Firstly, her role is only a supporting one (the series is mainly male-dominated/focus) unlike the other adaptation, "The Conquest" where Xi Shi (played by Sonija Kwok) is the female lead and is given alot of weight in the plot. Secondly, I heard her character is not very interesting and she doesnt do an out-of-the-ordinary portrayal of Xi Shi anyway. But, if you'de like to see Ady in a soft, docile role, clad in long flowy ancient costumes, then u can try catching it

Ady is pretty, but like sunny said, in a more modern, cool way. She makes my list of pretty actresses but i don't see her as an ancient beauty. The type of actress that i think should play Xi Shi would be Jiang Qin Qin, Li Ruo Tong, not that they're necessarily prettier than Ady, but Ady doesn't seem to have that air, if that makes any sense. Ady is too bubbly and cute/pretty, but not elegant enough.

Yah, i was a bit suprised of her playing XI Shi since she doesn't exude that ancient chinese or traditional look. I don't know how to explain it. When I think ancient chinese, somehow i associate an actress with almond shaped eyes not rounc bubble eyes like Ady

Launching her album on Mothers' Day in Beijing, Ady performed her latest-released song, "Ma Ma, Wo Heng Hao" (Mother, Im fine). Ady expressed that the song is very touching and meaningful to her since it expresses what she wants to say to her mother. She also revealed that she hardly talks to her mother since her father was the one who brought her up single-handedly. Ady decided to launch her album on Mothers' Day so as to present the song specially composed for her mother as a present. "I am a Libra" has a total of 6 songs.
