    sypnosis :

How can an archeologist protect his principles?
How can a romance span millennia?
Why does it hurt so much when someone you trust betrays you?
Across the mists of time and space,
    Only war,
    Love,
    And betrayal
    Remain eternal.

yeah, something like Louis Koo tvb series..back to TIME.

JC played 2 characters in this movie, a modern archeologist and a Qing emperor

I saw the trailer for the movie when I watched Initial D. It just seems quite strang to me... Jackie Chan is not young anymore, but his female leads are always young enough to be his daughter... sigh. I don't think I'll be catching this one.

    Cool

hmm...i havent catch the trailer yet...but maybe jacky should get a older female partner...i think that will make him look better...or maybe he just wanna make himself feel younger with the company of those young ladies...

But in anycase...i think i will most probably catch it...i never miss any of jacky's movie (long time fan)... But i still must agree with you...he is really getting old...

*maybe i should start a jacky chan thread in the actor's coloum*

I think Jackie Chan should quit acting as the "hero" character and play like a father figure. He should let younger actors play the "hero" character.

so whats the difference between jackie having young females playing his love interest than pierce brosnan being surrounded by young women? They are both around the same age. It's an image thing.

Julianne Moore, Salma Hayek, and Halle Berry are not young women. And you're right, it is an image thing. This case being Jackie Chan now looking too old to be of someone attracting females in their twenties.

Apparently, his ego is also getting in the way of him co-starring in a movie with Jet Li.

majority of hollywood male star is often pair up with a younger female star. Look at Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Tom Cruise... etc.

Not many female actress stay in the business long and those that does... may not have the sex appeal as they used to. but there is exception and those are the once people known them as endless beauties.

i just saw it last night in Toronto and it wasn't bad, this is also coming from a guy who has bashed Jackie's movies for 10 years in a row. it offered something different that you don't see often in his movies. it had tragedy, it had violence, and i mean, like Braveheart style violence. and a bit of humour. the midpoint of the film felt like it dragged on. but i figure it was essential to the story.

anyway, i was at the world premiere in Toronto Filmfest and recorded this. it's a sound clip of Jackie Chan, Kim Hee-Seon and others in Toronto for the premiere. please excuse my screaming. it got a little too loud.

Sounds almost like Timeline the movie. Archeologist and students, romance across time, back to a time of war, etc...
