hahaha I'm always like this but seeing nobody replies on the hockey thread anymore I decided to talk more smack to get going it's so boring here nowadays. I'm worse than Flames fans?? you gotta be kidding me. or you obviously havent met a lot of them. Sometimes the bs Oilers fans give Canucks fans are way worse in no way it is compared to mine. I'd admit I hate the Oilers maybe more so than the Flamers at times but again I hate each NorthWest division team pretty much the same. The reason Im picking on the Oilers is because well yea I dont like them but more so just wanted to tease you since it seems like you're the lone fan here and it's all in good fun.
Im not actually that mean trizz.... right superkarate? HAHA look he's gonna say im mean and Getzlaf sucks -.-

lalalala i bet trizz probably hates me now but it's okay - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRIZZZZ - that's all i wanna say for now.

    now back to hockey -

superkarate - I agree with Fitz sucking asss. But what do you expect when Salo is out? That's what sucks about Sami he's injury prone - the groin and his knees if Im correct. As well as Mitchell who suffered a concussion with a hit from Arnott. Some people were calling it a cheap hit and when he went down and was struggling to get to the bench there were no whistle to stop the play >:/ I hear he'll be back soon next week - which is always good news

I'd like Salo resigned but his downside is being too injury prone- and each time he's out it strikes the team badly esp. on the powerplay and blueline. I think this summer's free agency will be a huge consideration for Nonis whether or not to make room to resign or let him walk - considering the team is in tight cap situation as well.

Our D is pretty thin as of now - Ohlund - Bieksa - Krajicek - Bourdon - Fitzpatrick - FITZPATRICK - and Alexander Edler who's been called up to fill in for Sami. I hear the guy is real good and some people even compared him as a young Niklas Lidstrom in the making or something :S I hope he does good.

hey superkarate remember last season after the Olympic break? Our D was as thin as paper and yet we managed to beat the Shames with our Manitoba callups. Although losing your key defencemen is always a bad thing the upside was Bryan Allen, Steve McCarthy, Nolan Baumgartner and the young guys were all able to step up. Although depth was an issue that defensive corp wasn't all that bad if you ask me - as the guys were all able to learn, work to fill in, and improve themselves- in which they did. Bringing in Weinrich and Carney may have added more depth and experience but they were trouble and did more bad to the team than than the good. Eric "I should've retired ages ago" Weinrich was a terrible -13 with 0 points. Ahh let's not mention it.

So the Canucks are in Denver tonight for a showdown with the Avs. With our thin defensive corp. Luongo would've have to stand on his head in order to keep us in the game. I wouldn't be all that surprised if we lose but let's all look forward to a good game and hopefully 2 points.

haha meh i didn't really mean it, haha just teasing you too, haha. calgary fans are lot worse, haha. But you guys know whats worse, this stupid fat head making the call that cost us the game, took me awhile to find it, but i wanna show you guys, if you think you guys are screwed with your young defence, wait until what you think the refs are doing to us

Sigh it seems like all our comeback miracles have run out. I kinda don't understand - we outwork, outplay constantly and we're losing games now? sigh i dont even know what to say - we deserved another win as we clearly played better than the Avs tonight and Theo was not spectacular but more like just good enough to keep them into the game. I don't get why 9/10 if not all - opposition goalies this year seem to do so well against us. Or maybe we just make them look good. We register lots of shots on goal but no finish. I guess that's what happens when you lack real offense and depth.

I remember the good ol' Canucks days when we're a real offensive threat/ powerhouse - (although it's mostly coming from that one line WCE) we could afford to let in 2 - 3 goals and make it all up with 4 -6 goals. Naslund-Morrison-Bertuzzi was a dreaded combo and possibly one of the best lines in hockey. Both Naslund and Bertuzzi were both in the league top 5 for points fighting to be #1. And how they used to be a team/goalie's worst nightmare and they would register at least a goal each game.
Man.. if we had LUONGO back then .. I imagine we would've at least won a Cup. Goaltending seemed to have been our only flaw back then as well as secondary scoring from the other lines but the WCE line was THAT good to able to handle all the offense to win us lots of games.

Damnit Cloutier D:< Too bad Crawford LOVESSSSS him. I don't get it - Garon is clearly LA's number 1 - yet Crawford wouldn't accept the fact that Cloutier is a fcking SIEVE he SUCKS and won't get any better. He gave him enough chances already in VAN and guess what? The guy choked and did worse for us and those were the best years in his career behind such a good team like the Canucks - the reason why he still has a little value in his resume. Well I'd admit he gave us 30 + wins since McLean but it was mostly the team and our top line that did the job. Sometimes I feel bad for Cloutier and the countless critisicm he gets but when I think about the times he choked to blow up our Cup dreams I think it's worth every minute to b1tch about it. 2003 vs. Minny being one of the best examples. He wasn't all that terrible and there were times he was pretty solid but that's really mostly in the regular season. Major choke come playoff time.

So Canucks lose to Avs today - booo! Luongo wasn't all that good - and once again FITZPATRICK works his magic of horrid again. Surprised Luongo hasnt murdered the guy yet. With the way Alexander Edler had played tonight - he could easily and clearly take over the 7th Dmen spot over Fitz anyday. In which I hope to see as well. Alexander Edler was outstanding tonight. Keep it up guy !

So how many Swedes do we have currently on the team? Markus Naslund, Daniel & Henrik Sedin, Mattias Ohlund, Alexander Edler. 5 Swedes. wowzers.

That's all for now - gonna bounce - and to wrap it up before I go - GETZLAF ROCKSSSSSSSSS <33

wow trizz i didnt know sat was your bday, happy belated bday . i hope u had a good one. so wat now ur 20? welcome to being old

so we lost to the Avs eh? i didnt watch the game so i cant really comment too much. but i heard edler play well so im happy. some ppl say his positioning and stickchecking is almost lidstrom-esque, which is pretty amazing considering dats how lidstrom shuts down the other team's top players. is edler really dat good kiss? and did luongo play bad or did the avs just buried thier chances really well? cuz 3 goals on 20 shots isnt very luongo-like. im actually kinda disappointed we lost so many 1 goal games lately, isnt luongo supposed to be shutting the doors for us in the 3rd? or shouldnt he be stealing us some wins? dont get me wrong im not bashing him, but for $6.75M i thot our goaltending would make more of a difference in a tight game. i unno, mabbe roberto havent got used to the team yet, or our D coverage is just dat bad? cant wait till salo and mitchell comes back and stay healthy, cuz we cant keep droppin pts like we've been doing.

i'd like to see AV put the swedish 5 on the PP, kinda like wat the wings did back in the 90s w/ their russian 5. who knows they mite have some kinda super swedish telepathic communication thing going on and score tons of goals. worth a try seeing how our PPs been sucking *** big time this season.

well kiss if it makes u feel any better, garon played for LA last nite, and got lit up for 5 goals and was pulled. so i guess theres a reason cloutier plays most of the kings games eh? lol.

haha i cant believe how edm got screwed out of a pt by the ref. dat was freakin hilarious! no offense trizz, but u gotta admit dat was pretty funny. i dont get y the nhl didnt over rule the call, cuz they over rule a call by the refs in the van/min game, so its not like they never did it b4. imagine edm miss the playoff by 1 pt at the end of the season! oh well at least the ref appologize, wat else can u do rite?

ps kiss IS mean and getzlaf does suck

thx guys, no i'm not 20, still young, probably youngest here, i'll break it to you guys, i'm 18 now, haha. i thought i gave you guys enough clue by saying how last year i wasnt on a lot cause i had a lot of exams that will determine if i go into university then this year i said how tired i was because of all the hw.

We cant do anything about stupid mcgeough. he not only screwed us over that last call but the lack of a call on dallas' first goal it should have been 3-2 edmonton. He's being praised by the NHL and not being penalized, i dont' even get it.

leila does not suck, bosco sux, HAHHAAH, kiss is very mean, i bet she's really a 60 year old granny that owns a computer and say all these things to make us mad, hahahaha jk jk

Canucks win tonight 2-1 vs. Stars. Finally 2 points! ARGH but it was a hard win to squeeze with - took one real goal to beat their BACKUP goalie who was very solid throughout the game despite the super weak first goal by Bieksa and a very good yet tired Stars team who just played back to back. Image if they put Turco in I imagine the team with 2 points tonight would be the Stars and not us.

"The Pie" scores a PP goal with 30 so secs left to put us in a 2-1 lead. Man did you guys see that robbery by Roberto during the 4 minute mark or iuno somewhere near the end of the 3rd? That was heck of an unbelievable save. If it was Cloutier even a beachball would've found its way into the net. speaking of beachballs.. AHAHAH I still remember that giant beachball some fan(s) chucked onto the ice during OT vs. the Caps.

Luongo kinda "stole" the game for us in a way - but not really - as he made that amazing save to keep us into the game esp. late in the 3rd tied 1-1. When Mark Smith let in that goal by Bieksa I nearly thought that was Cloutier. haha Don Taylor was like "Cloutier-Holmstrom anyone?" as it had his similarities.

Canucks gotta start winning and Thurs. game vs the Ducks will be a toughie for us and I have a strong yet realistic feeling that we'll lose to that powerhouse of a team with Giguere - Selanne - NIEDERMAYER- PRONGER and of course a couple of very good young guys and guns like MacDonald whos probably entering or is in his prime already - Perry, and of course - GETZLAF
I do think offense is a huge concern. Everyone has been saying at the first 10 games "ahh this is a new team just let them gel and find its chemistry" but this is not the case anymore. 92 shots - only 6 goals. a bit too serious dont you think? we're improving though as we finally found ourselves some secondary scoring but again .. 90% coming from the Sedin line. Man .. playing with Sedins = instant payraise + career year the twins are real good now and both are either entering or already in their prime. Too bad production seems to be reduced from them nowadays as they're our biggest yet only threat and line so everyone knows who to shutdown.

And you may be wondering dude its only been 16 games - but how many more games do we have to wait before our team starts averaging more than 2 goals and actually get goals? We register tons of shots on goal night in and night out yet we're on the league bottom for goals scored. Just look at the past 3 games as perfect examples. We work hard, shoot lots, outplay yet we couldn't buy a win because of our lack of offense and its depth. We totally deserved those wins but too bad no scoring.

Edler got his first Canucks and NHL point which came as an assist to Bieksa's goal today. Congrats !

Hopefully if Nonis does upgrade our offense dont take in those talented yet lazy bums and cancers that will kill the team (eg: Jagr). Oh yeah and throw in Fitzpatrick in the trade while he's at it.

btw I predict a 6-2 Ducks win. Call me pessismistic but I'm being realistic. Against a very dangerous contender like the Ducks with arguably that threat of a powerplay quarterback and blueliners in a Niederymayer and Pronger duel with two very goood goalies guarding their pipes - Giguere and Bryzgalov - the Canucks are going nowhere. Not to mention our lack of scoring will kill us again.

why don't you call yourself a duck fan? for typical oil fans, comrie, pronger and mcgeough is on the hate list.

but it's true realistically speaking the ducks may have a shot at the cup, but my money is on buffalo, i don't want the ducks winning

yea wat the heck was dat trizz? encouraging kiss to pick on me? wat kinda friend ru!? haha jk. i can never get mad at a fellow leila fan. and to the one who claims bosco is good looking... thx for the joke, i needed dat laugh.

haha dat bieksa goal is so funny, good to finally get those bounces going OUR way for once. hopefully dat'll ease some of the pain from the lidstrom goal, but it doesnt. yay edler got a pt, boy i was impressed w/ his play. his positioning is pretty good. and he look so tall, once he fill out hes gonna be a monster. dat luongo save while hes on his butt, wow! wat concentration. dats the diff btw a all star goalie and the likes of clouts and aulds. im so happy we finally got a goalie dat can win us games. even tho we lost alot of scoring for him, its worth it. kiss we were compared to the flames b4 the season starts, so it shouldnt surprise u dat we cant score goals. but w/ all the shots we've been peppering the other goalies, u would think one of these days the guys will start to bury some of them. i still cant believe green havent got one, even got rob on a breakaway deke, the guy have no luck watsoever. and 'the pie' is a crappy nickname haha, no offense but dat make him sound like food, not a very ear-catching nickname at all

btw kiss, i got good news 4u, if u want tix for the ducks game i can get u either 1 or 2 tix. its gonna be around $90 each, but its lower bowl and its rite behind the net. and u get to watch your stupid getzlaf get rob by luongo. i was gonna go but its my friends bday so i cant go no more. ur the first person i ask (ur welcome ) so lemme know if u want them.

buff looks good so far, but i dunno if they'll win the cup. to me, they still dont have the depth on the backend, and a couple injuries can really crippled them like last yr. i hate to say it but the ducks is my pick to win the cup this yr.

btw, morrisons been rumored to be going to ott for volchenkov or the pho. thots? i dont wanna trade mo becuz dat'll mean either kesler or chouinard will be on our 2nd line center, and dats just sad. altho i really like volchenkov...

The same reason why you don't call yourself a Stars fan. I DON'T LIKE the Ducks - in case you've never heard me mention before - I just love Getzlaf. Scott Niedermayer, Teemu Selanne are also some of my favorite players. PRONGER is cool too although nowhere near a favorite.

Ooh I like MO But if trading him helps lifts some weight off the team and actually does a lot more good than having him - good luck. Don't be mistaken I've always loved Mo - but I focus more for the sake of the team. His play obviously isn't getting much better and his good years were far behind him already but he still has some value and of course a big heart.

As for "The Pie" I know it's lame but I just wanted to see how it'd work out. I don't like it either but it's funny nevertheless. Taylor Pie-yat (Pyatt) haha

Hoping for a Canucks win tmrw but I truely highly doubt it. The Ducks team is too good and our offense obviously isn't going to solve our problem tmrw which is an important key to beating this strong team who is a true contender this year. and before TRIZZ calls me a freakn Duck fan lemme remind you - READ THE POST ABOVEEE!!

yes yes mam you not a duck fan. and you not a duck too. chill chill.

I can't believe we lost in a shootout, MacT put pisani out as the last shooter, what's up with that, he should have went with smyth or lupul at least someone who's a bonafie goal scorer

ppl here are raising money to pay off the fine, MacT is not gonna take the money but put it into the edmonton oilers community fund for charity purposes, good for him. This is the first time i've heard that we would take the liabilities in the club. wow the oilers are truely part of edmonton, ppl are chipping in, i'm gonna put some money in it too. Personally i dont' think MacT's comments went over the line, the NHL is just covering up the "offensive" language and protecting their officials instead of fining them for doing something wrong. Do officials ever get fined?

haha yea dat pisani shot was sad, looks like he fan on it. once again, proving macT to be a bad coach imo.
good to hear edm rallyin behind their coach tho, shows wat a great hockey town it is when they r willin to back up their coach w/ money. macT was rite to be mad tho, and shouldnt be fine. but nhl is so protective of their officials.

i dont see how trading mo helps us. seriously, no body will give us a 2nd line center back for mo, and even if we save about $2.5M from dumpin bmo, we cant get a good 2nd line center for dat amount. unless we r giving up on this season i dont see how we can deal mo.

wow we lost, we deserved it, pathetic effort. we had no shots through out the game and got outshot 45 to 16. This wasn't even a game, it's more like men against boys
