Buffalo was one of the few teams this year the Leafs played well against. So it wouldn't of been so easy. Oh well. Maybe next year.

I hope JFJ gets canned. Him and his worthless signings with no trade clauses. What an IDIOT.

Yeah Crosby is the posterboy. It's one of those MVP awards that you want to market around. That's why I have a feeling Nash won't win it for the Suns because he isn't exactly the type of guy you want to market ur sport around even though he's frickin awesome.

Ahh predictions make my head hurt, so i won't. Fricking laffs screw it up for the Habs too haha. Oh well, they both didn't deserve it. You should hear some of the sour grapes laffs fans saying Brodeur should have played or shootouts are rediculous. hahaha i love it.

I took wednesday off and still looking for tickets. GO NUCKS GO!

    LOL, why Flames?

I think I'm expecting to see an Anahem Mighty, ahem, I mean Anaheim Ducks vs. Buffalo Sabres final. But would prefer a Cinderella team like the Pens to be playing the Ducks in the finals instead.

    My predictions are

    WEST
    1 Detroit vs. 8 Calgary
gonna have to go with flames in 6

    2 Anahiem vs. 7 Minnesota
Ducks in 5, i can't see this highly defensive team being successful against such a stacked defense and with so much guns up front

    3 Vancouver vs. 6 Dallas
Nuks in 7, can't see them win in 6, 5 or 4 games, this one is gonna be a dandy, luongo getting his first shot at the PO, i think he'll be nervous for the first couple games and then ease right in.

4 Nashville vs. 5 San Jose
This one i say can swing either way, and it'll be in 6 games. They're too evenly matched, I'm leaning towards nashville but then san jose still got something in them, if cheechoo can wake up and their goaltenders keep tearing everyone up then i think san jose can actually win this one. Nashville well they're young but so so so good.

    EAST
1 Buffalo vs 8 New York Islanders
Even though my oilers are on this isle team, i'll say buffalo in 4 theres no way dipietro can withstand all that pucks flying towards him

2 New Jersey vs 7 Tampa Bay
Brodeur beats all end of story, jersey in 5

3 Atlanta vs. 6 New York Rangers
Experience says it all in this one. Even though lundqvist is great is he really THAT great, but in comparison to Lethonen in Atlanta, i'll have to say Lundqvist got the upper hand. Atlanta is young and its great they made it in this time, but as always the newbies gotta lose to know how to play in the PO

    4 Ottawa vs. 5 Pittsburgh
This is a cinderalla story for Crosby and his crew. I want to say Pittsburgh in 7, and it could happen but chances are it probably won't. Ottawa will probably take this series. Crosby and his gang will go home and gain some experience and next season i think they can go to at least the 3rd round.

the one, didnt leafs blew like a 4-1 lead in the 3rd to the sabres about a month ago? to me it just goes to show that buffalo is able to score at will against toronto's horrible D and goalie. anyways it makes no diff now. i hope JFJ is fired and quinn comes back to be the GM. as much as i hate the leafs, it is in the NHL's best interest for them to succeed.

almo, didnt nash already won the MVP award last yr? i actually think the NBA wanna market a guy like nash, cuz they've taken some beating in the PR dept lately for the "bad boys" attitude of some of their stars. its not good for the sport when your players keep getting arrest for drugs, beating up wives, etc. nash is a great role model and i think the NBA is starting to favor those kinda guys. oh yea, and i love it how don cherry said "nj should play brodeur, its only fair". y would the devils care about being fair to the leafs, when its in the best interest to rest brodeur? and if its about being fair, should brodeur and luongo play EVERY SINGLE GAME during the season? otherwise it would be unfair for some teams. cherrys such a moron.

trizz, cheechoos been hot lately. think he have something like 14 goals in last 19 games. mite have something to do wif thornton playing great recently, but i think cheechoo had regain his form and will be giving vokoun nightmares for the next 2 wks. oh and lundquivst really is great. he had the best stats for 2007, and is the main reason nyr made the playoff. there r talks that he'll get some votes for the hart trophy (obviously he wont win it, but it says alot dat hes gonna get some votes).

About Nash, I was saying about this year. Like even if he deserves it this year, he might not get it. I do agree though that Nash is the type of guy you want to market around instead of the whole gangster look.

Leafs fans are being stupid now. They say it's not fair that shootouts decided their playoff fate and that Brodeur should have played. I mean c'mon, the season is 82 games long. They had many chances to get in. They have nobody else to blame but themselves.

True but it seems like TML have no problems scoring against the Sabres most of the time. So it won't be exactly be a cakewalk in the playoffs for Buffalo.

I'm embarrass to be a Leafs fans because of fans like that.

TML had their chance to put away the Islanders but they failed to do that. I'm glad they didn't make it so they can stop market Raysuck as a number 1 goalie. Get rid of JFJ and bring in a real GM.

Yeah and I use to cheer for the leafs when Quinn and almo were there. I was pissed when leafs fans were raggin on Quinn.

Mogilny was so exciting to watch. Just a shame his injuries have plagued him the past few years.

He wasn't exciting like Pavel Bure, but he had great passing abilities and he had that quick release like Joe Sakic.

I meant exciting in a Leafs uniform. Never really watched a Canucks game when Bure was playing.

I'm with The_One, haven't even watched bure play b4. I haven't really noticed the nuks until the year they got beat by minnesota in the 2nd round.

I dont like how the leafs let quinn go, he's a conservative coach but he's a good one. They use to be great but those dumb@$$ fans, not all fans just the louder ones are the ones that ppl bash about. Fans who comment about how the shootout and not playing brodeur led to the leafs missing the PO is just stupid. its a long season and well everyone needs a rest and even an idiot would rest brodeur b4 the PO to get him some time to get into PO shape. They're not gonna risk an injury with a team NYI thats hunting for a PO spot. Jersey already got their spot in the PO so they got nothing to lose. I didn't really watch the game but they probably put some young guys in and rest quite a bit for the top guns.

chicago gets top pick and oilers stay 6th. man that's not too great but oh wells good enough. I have no clue what's gonna happen in the draft, i'm not all that excited about it, so meh doesn't really matter to me, right now is to tuned into the playoffs.

almo was deadly on breakaway, everybody know hes going 5-hole, but he still score there all the time. bure is more exciting, but mogilny is more complete. still, the best attribute of mogilny is his personality, his quotes are priceless. go back to like the 5th pg or something on this thread and u'll find some of his quotes.

hey how did u get tix? how much was it and where did u sit? wat a game, it was alittle boring in OT but like wang said u got your money worth. luongo looks shaky on a few shots, but he looks great otherwise. nazzy played like a true captain tho, scoring a goal and setting up another. if he can keep it up and the sedins continue to dominate, we'll finish off dallas pretty quick. hey i heard some of the concession stands were closed during OT, is dat true? must suck to be in there for so long w/o food or drink

i think the record is something over 100+ mins in OT, so dats like 5+ OT period. dats back in the '30s tho. we r still about a period short.
luongo 1st playoff game and its already one of the longest game ever, well he wanted to play in the playoff, he got his fill rite there lol. 1 save short of the nhl record tho, dat was quite impressive. haha funny thing is, he let in 4 goals but his GAA is only 1.76! way ta go bobby luu.
u know wat tho, as much as i love watching unlimited OT, i was begging for a goal by the 2nd OT. i have to wake up at 6 for work and them playing past midnite is not good for me. i was dosing off at work the whole day lol

btw, where did all the flames fans comes from?? lost 4-1 today, and if it wasnt for kipper it would've been much worst. i think they'll bounce back tho, i picked them to win the series.
