This thread is rather pointless, but I do have to say that I'm surprised Ruby has so many votes. Always thought there were more Alyssa and Vicki fans. I can't say I hate Ruby Lin...she's good at crying, but I don't see why she bothered to compete with Vicki for singing, and her roles are in desperate need of improvement. Either it's the way she portrays them or the roles that she just happens to get.

From what I've seen her in:

Ziwei - Nice, kind, gentle, perfect -- but does nothing but whine and cry about everything, instead of doing something about it! Why, someone beats her up, she just cries about it, but doesn't stand up for herself! She lets people step right over her!

Ruping - Okay, for those who read Yan Yu Meng Meng, Ruping was supposed to be a nice, demure girl, very likeable compared to Yiping, and weak enough that she committed suicide...but Ruby Lin made her so manipulative!! So Ruping did change a little in QSSYMM, but she wasn't supposed to become such an annoying character! "Du Fei, if you really love me, you should help me get together with Shuhuan!" Okay, who in their right mind would say that to a guy who is like madly in love with them? This is more the fault of the script than Ruby, but I couldn't stand Ruping.

Manzhen - Oh, please, here we go again, the nice heroine who is nice to everybody and pretty and liked by everybody...but you sympathize so much more with Manlu. Manlu gives up her reputation, her chance for marriage with a man she is fond of, her pride -- all of it to support her family. And how much does Manzhen help? Unlike Manlu, she holds onto her pride and earns wages that cannot even support the family. I don't hate Manzhen, but she's so fake and just tries to please everyone.

Yiqiao - Yay Ruby gets the nice role again, the kind, can-do-no-wrong Yiqiao.

Vicki Zhao has 38 votes right now...Ruby Lin only has 28. There are 60 votes for her in this poll...Yang Mi has 33 though, 5 more than Ruby, so Ruby still has a chance if her fans decide to "come out from hiding".

i believe the ruby votes are ased on cheaters...she couldn't have possibly got so much more votes than alyssa and vicki...especially when she's not the most popular...i'm still glad she didn't make it to the AWC-finals
