I've read some news in which Steve talking about his little dog Liu Liu (66). Steve said Amy played with it during filming of LIAM and give her cheese to 66 to eat. Also said Vivien gave some foodstuff to Liu Liu during the course of filiming Tai Zhao Mi Shi Nuerhachi. Steve has other little puppy called Chi Chi (77). His fans said Chi Chi was in Tai Zhao Mi Shi.

I was wrong. Tau Hua is peach flowers/blossom. It did not associate with Mei Hua Trilogy. It wasn’t popular series like Steve & Vivian’s series. I don’t think this series released on VCDs but I saw some video clips of this series. Steve and He Qing have better chemistry than Steve and the other actress. Sadly He Qing never ended up with Steve together.

Steve did not portray as the 4th prince (YongZheng Emperor). His character was the Crown Prince Yinreng, 2nd son of Emperor Kangxi. Crown prince wasn’t strong like his father, his great grand father (Emperor Haung Tai Ji), great grand uncle (Prince Dorgon) and his great-great grand father (Emperor Nuerhachi). Steve said when he was chosen to portray as the crown prince, he wasn’t really inspired by the character. So he asked himself “if I was a crown prince what would I do?” After reading a lot of crown prince’s materials, he then engaged with his character. Liu De Kai also said he didn’t get the idea of how to develop a father & a son relationship with Steve b/c they were brothers and love rivals in Xiao Zhaing Epic. So he and Steve disscussed a lot regarding this matter. That hepled them to portray as a father and a son very well.

Honestly speaking I haven’t watched any epic series yet. Someone asked me similar question about Prince Epic review & discussion forum info. I saw a thread of that series at tvseriesfans.com around 2004. A viewer started the thread and wrote the summary of Prince Epic a.k.a Haung Tai Zi Mi Shi. I have a copy of it though; I couldn’t recall who originally wrote it.

I finished this series in chinese...which mean I don't really understand much...this might change after I watch the viet version. I do my best to summarized and share with some of you who's interested.

IT CONTENT SPOILER INFORMATION, DO NOT READ IT, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

The Queen give birth to her son Steven, right after giving birth to Steven she died...the King (Luu Duc Khai) somehow think was it because of his son causing his wife dead?...after a few thought Luu didn't blame his son (Steven) for it but instead he care and love very much (Steven become his beloved son throughout the hold series).

Steven has grow up and become a fine looking man with many girls surrounded him. One day Steven and his younger brother went for a tour in the outside world, his brother was involved into a fight with Hu Jing and was beaten up by her. Steven then admired Hu Jing for her great kung-fu skills (they didn't talk to each other it was an admired thru the look of his face) Hu Jing left and Steven went on touring later he meet Hu Jing younger sister Shirley Tai.

Shirley is kind hearted girl and soft spoken, she also involved into a fight (not kung-fu type of fight) with the bird sellsman. Shirley wanted to let all the birth go from the cave so the sellsman wanted to beat her up but she was save by Steven. She give Steven a good empression because of her kindness and gentle Steven and Shirley falls in LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

Steven and Shirley always think of one another (lovesick). They have faced with many twists and turns from then on. The King ordered this solders to kill Shirley family at that same time Hu Jing and Shirley left town they weren't involved. When Steven find out his father wanted to kill Shirley family he tried to save them but it too late and so do Hu jing. All the members of the family are dead, Steven happen to walk out of her home, Hu Jing suspect Steven killed her whole family.

Hu Jing love her sister (Shirley) very much she wanted her to be protected, she leave her sister alone to and go meet up with her master for revenge. Hu Jing then realised Steven is not the killer, the King is the person who ordered to kill her family. Because of the revenge to her family dead, Steven and Shirley always face the separations, hardships and loneliness.

The King know his son really love Shirley and knowing that Shirley is the daughter of a family who he has killed, he never has agreed for his son to be with her. The King ordered her to go far way from Steven, leaving her in the darkness, hide her in the temple and he do anything to get Shirley away from Steven. Because of LOVE, Steven has never giving up in finding her no matter what no matter where. Father and son under go with many arguments, misunderstanding, sadness and tears. Steven and Shirley has faced with many separation but love always awaiting for them. Many girls have drop their tears because Steven never responded to their love...in his heart he only love Shirley. In the meanwhile Hu Jing and Trieu Hong Phi also fall in love and has a one night stand then become a non- public couple.

Steven lost controlled of his life not paying attention pay to things surrounding him. The King was very disappointed of his son, they argue and disagreed in many things. The King was very upset so he ordered the solders to put Steven in jail awaiting for sentence. Shirley was very sad after hearing the news along with all those time of her missing Steven her hair color become white (like romance of maiden white hair).The King felt lonely because of the son who's he loved the most have giving in life, after thinking of the through, the King finally understand his son (Steven) and Shirley needs one another. The King come to visit Shirley he was very suprise when she turned around to look at him. He feel guilty and ordered his solders to let Steven out of jail, father and son talk. The King estorted Steven to where Shirley stay, they two meet without any words beside tears drop (is this mean they live happily ever after, yeah right) they become happily again.

The King know Trieu Hong Phi was the person behind all this...THP was very afraid and he blame on someone else. The King ordered THP to kill them (the king don't know that it was Hu Jing group of people). THP can't do anything else beside doing what his father said. THP orders his people to kill Hu Jing but she was save by her collegue and survive. Hu Jing ran to the temple where her master stay, her master was too happy, Hu Jing chopped off her left hand in front of her master in paying her back then walk away.

On the other side, Steven and Shirley live a happy life not knowing another crisis await for them. The King family enjoy the reception meanwhile Hu Jing show up, she wanted to revenge and tell the truth about Trieu Hong Phi in front of the king. THP once again wanted to kill Hu Jing but she was protected by the King and Steven, Hu Jing was very disappointed of THP she then suicided in front of everyone. The King pick up the sword wanted to kill THP but he was hold back by Steven and THP mother. Shirley cried uncontrolled and decided to leave Steven to go away and berry her sister, Steven can't do anything beside watching her go. THP become the King, Steven live his life outside the kingdom (like a homeless person) and Shirley become a Ni Co...Steven and Shirley never meet again.

I don’t know the actress’ name. All I know was she teamed with Steve in 1 movie and 2 TV series around 89-90. Nai He Hua was their 4th series. 1st part of that series was slow. 2nd part where Steve became a blind towards the end was good.

Some news also said that in his new series Shang Dynasty Legend, due to his character King Zhou, the brown power on his face made him very tan, & slightly revealed the vicissitudes. But the audience has recognized him.

Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for the translations and pics ejc! They are really cool. I'm highly anticipating the new adaptation of Feng Sheng Bang. Seems like a star studded cast. Will be interesting to see Steve portrayed as the corrupted King Zhou. I'm excited to see JQQ again too. She looks so pretty as the queen.
