Was Huang Xiao Ming in this one too. If it is I like this show. Alec was very cute in his governor uniform. Rebecca was also cute. Huang Xiao Ming, I didn't really like him as a bad guy, but he did a good job. The ending seem to leave you hanging. Does any one know if thre going to be a sequal?

Actually, I haven't seen this series yet & I'm deciding whether I should buy this series or not. What did U guys think about this series?

If you a fan of Alec then it a must see. He play a governor of the court and there's about 4 cases that he has to solve. Rebecca Wang is her usually cutesy self, she a princess in the serie. Huang Xiao Ming is only a guest star for the first case and he the villian. He a crow prince who ends up beging a son of a maid. He tired to take Rebecca away from Alec. There is a pretty cool dual scene with him and Alec at the end of the first case.

The second one is about a girl who family was killed by the empiror, and as usaual she want reavnge. She be-friend Rebecca and tried to take Alec away from Rebecca.

The third one had something to do with the empiror favorite concubine. She had a lover before she enter the palace, and now he want her back.

The foruth one about a rich girl (she also like Alec) who family was all killed when she was a little baby. Her life was save by a boy who live with her family. The two grew up together. He like her, but she like Alec. And the girl have an oler sister who also survived and she seeking revange.

The ending was OK all the case were solve, Alec and Rebecca was together looking for his step-mom and emperior, and the parents are shown in a boat being very romantic.

This series is currently playing on CCTV 8. Alec and Rebecca don't really seem all that compatible. Huang Xiao Ming as the villain is something new to me. From what I saw, he did a good job, but his character sure is nasty and cruel. Surprise, surprise, Kou Zhen Hai is in this series too. I swear, he's been in practically every series I've seen lately. The man is one busy...man.

I lik really really really want to watch this serie. It won't broadcast on the channels I have (well for now it hasn't) and I can't seem to find it out there for sale. Alec looks so cute in this serie and every girl seems to lik want to snatch him right out of poor Rebecca's hands. Poor Rebecca....

Like someone posted earler, this series has 4 cases in which Alec (the general) has to solve. The first case is the best, but then it gets reeeaaaalllllyyy DRAGGY. My advise would be to watch the very first case, which involves the love story between Alec and Rececca. It's really cute. Then skip to the very last case cause that one is pretty good too. I thought this series was worth renting though cause Alec is so cute in this one. *sigh* Makes me all weak to see him so cute!!

HXM looks so funny as the evil lecherous crown prince. I'd watch it just for that. Don't think Rebecca suits Alec at all ... the dialogue is pretty cheesy. Just thought I'd revive the thread since it's showing in Singapore right now.

I think that HXM is weird as the bad guys since I mostly seen him as the good guy so its kinda different. And as 4 Alec & Rebecca...they're one weird childish couple >_<

They are showing this on singapore TV, I was happy because this series is just not available for sale here. I am watching this for HXM more than Alec Su. My mom said that HXM seems to always be cast in role of the Crown Prince. but too bad HXM does not get much screen time in the first 2 episodes and I actually find refreshing to see him in a bad role....a cruel and lecherous role is definitely a bad role.

I'm very glad that it's finally showed in Singapore and that you all able to see it. It's definitely very refreshing watching Jiao Zhu in an evil role. Jiao Zhu absolutely surpass everyone else in the series and became the highlight of the show even though he was still just a rather new actor.

You can say that again. Rebecca was cute, her white gowns tried to imitate XLN's, but still ...

I should've finished this series, but it was draggy. Alec was handsome and charming as ever, but the series was too loooong.

yes....Rebecca did remind me of Xiao Long Nu but I like her fighting scenes. I like it when the female leads are dressed in such romatic flowing clothes and use those long cloth to act as their weapons and throw it out to attack their opponents and fly in the air..it paints a picture of them being so invincible, romantic and beautiful at the same time.
