Kinda strange though, if a shark's mouth is locked open, wouldnt it still be able to swallow/drink the other sharks' blood and get poisoned from it - it certainly will be in the fray where theres a high concentration of blood. Also, how does it dispose of the large amount of water inflowing through its mouth? Won't it die from excess fluid overload before starvation? Is that why it's at the surface all the time?

A shark is a fish. Perhaps it maintained equilibrium by pumping excess water out through its gills.

back to this shark question. without food, wouldn't it die of starvation too?

ZBT met the shark when he jumped into the sea. Ever since then, he has been catching food for the shark and himself. Therefore the shark did not die of hunger

sorry, back to the shark again. shouldn't zhou botong be kind enough to take out the stick from the shark's mouth? other than to show to ouyang feng that he won the bet?

how can anyone eat with a stick in his/her mouth, what more a shark?
I dont see how the shark with a stick in its mouth could have survive even with ZBT feeding it.

A shark don't so much chew as just bite a chunk and swallow. Even with its mouth open, it can still swallow the food ZBT provides.

For ZBT its quite important to win a bet as oppose to worrying about the sharks comfort. In the past, animal welfare is hardly considered.

If this subtopic continues, we're going to need to rename this thread LEGEND OF THE SHARK HEROES.

    ok, no more sharks.

    1. in entering the palace, H7G told ZBT, GJ and HR something like, "look at the fire over there. no matter what happened, never venture to there." any reason why he said this?

    2. why must Huang Yaoshi appear wearing a mask?

i wonder if anyone felt a bit sad for HR when GJ in front of everyone noted that Hua Zhen was his financee. Of course, GJ also noted that he only loved HR.
    1. Assuming that you were GJ, is there any other way of saying this?
    2. Assuming that you were HR, what is the feeling? angry or sad?
    3. Assuming that you were Hua Zhen, what is the feeling? happy or sad?

    1. Follow heart (emotions) rather than do it for 'rightousness' (in the end you will 3 unhappy ppl, directly, if GJ marry Hua Zhen, instead of one if GJ marries HR, never understood GJ logic anyways)

    2. Disappointed too, that tastes lie on such a rigid man.

    3. Back off, find someone else.

Don't really know about the actual novels, but in 2003 LOCH, HR was quoted saying that when PB island's people died, they were supposed to be buried where they died.

Hence that is why, when GJ wanted to bury the remains of HR's Senior Qu(??), HR stopped him from doing so... (they were in Niu village, hidden for 7 days and 7 in nights in the hidden chamber following GJ been stabbed by YK)

The above are taken from the 2003 adaption... so could anyone confirm if this conversation really took place in the novel? thx in advance...

    Anyone can tell me:
    1. how the wumu war maual ended in the Iron Palm Sect?
    2. the Iron Palm Sect appears to be a "righteous" sect. but why is it acquainted with the Jins?

(The scenes whereby GJ carried/bring injured HR to meet Yideng is quite touching )

One of the Iron Palm Union Chiefs prior to Kau Cheen Yan had been a close associate of Ngok Fei's and fought alongside the legendary Sung general against the Jin Empire.

    i have two questions:
    1. on jiuyin manual. was this manual written by wang chongyang? if so, why did yideng mentioned that wang chongyang may not understand the last part of the manual as it is in sanskirt? when yideng's two disciples were injured by ying-gu, the "indian" monk was treating them. the monk muttered some phrases in sanskirt. then guo jin also muttered it. yideng was surprised that gj knew the last part of the jiuyin. gj noted that zhou botong "forced" him to remember them. hence, how did the indian monk and yideng knew this last part? and how zhou botong knew how to read sanskirt?

    2. hua shan duel. when was the first duel? actually how does it start? and how often it is held? who choose to fight in the duel?
