Default What other martial arts did the Deun Royal Family have?

Everybody knows about the Deun Royal Family's signature martial arts, the 1 Yeung Finger Technique and its more powerful outgrowth, the 6 Mak Divine Swords. What else did they have other than these techniques, however? Did they have any other notable weapons combat or hand-to-hand fighting skills? I suspect that South Emperor Deun Chi Hing didn't handle all his combat during the First Mt. Hua Sword Tournament just by pointing fingers at his opponents.

This was only true in the First Edition of LOCH. The Second and current editions of LOCH indicate that Deun Chi Hing had trained in the 1 Yeung Finger Technique from early in his life because, after all, the skill belonged to his ancestors (as indicated in DGSD), not to Central Divinity Wong Chung Yeung and the Cheun Jen Sect.

Didnt southern and central make a trade? 1YZ for XTG? The later from central?

They have some pretty impressive internal energy training too.

Whats the technique Kurong specialised in? Is that Dali of origin?

the duan family had their unique and powerful inner power techniques, as well as duan family sword, yiyang finger, 6MSJ, plus a couple of second grade palms and other weapon techniques. yideng's disiples used techniques that were on par with QZ and GLFW's disiples.

    I can name three more:

    1: Chicks Pulling Shengong
2: Diamond Skin Art (skin thick and hard enough to pursue chicks)
3: Skirt Wearing Technique (as practiced by Duan Yu and Yi Deng)

Oh, yeah. This was the most formidable skill those Deun guys had. Don't want to mess with that one. Nosiree.

2: Diamond Skin Art (skin thick and hard enough to pursue chicks)
Extremely powerful skill. No one ever truly mastered it after Deun Yu, however.

3: Skirt Wearing Technique (as practiced by Duan Yu and Yi Deng)
I didn't know 1 Deng practiced this skill. His grandfather Deun Yu was undoubtedly a master of this skill, however.

Look at his life and why he became a monk.

I can think of a worse fate than that.

Glances towards a domed structure on the far side of Mt. Chung Nam.

Besides, it was customary for former Dali kings to become Buddhist monks anyway.

But WCY (if he's the guy you're talking about) had never been a king with 300 odd wives.

It was only an excuse used by Yi Deng to become a monk.

Big deal. I mean, one of your 300 wives bonked some random guy and fell in love with him. Then you became misery for the rest of your life. Seriously...

Well, I was actually thinking about that *other* fellow who made the dome structure his permanent residence...

I think he got over that. The monk thing came, I think, after he began guilt-tripping over not saving his ex's illegitimate son.

Didn't they have some kind of technique that they can speak without using their mouths? Although this is not for combat.

That's Duan Yan Qing's (Evil #1) technique which he learnt from somewhere else, not a Duan family's trick. DYQ had to learn it (speaking via his tummy) because his throat muscles were dead and he could not speak normally.

There was also that 'light smoke palm' technique which Duan Zhengchun taught Chen Hongmian - although I'm not sure if it was a Dali technique, or something he picked up while wandering around.

What if you put Duen's family with 6MSJ up against me with a Semi-Automatic? Who'd win?

As in all gun duels, it depends on who shoots first and who shoots more accurately (the former isn't useful without the latter).

Depends how far you stand too. If you are closer enough, even if you shoot him first, he will still put holes in you.

I'd put both of you in a jungle and bet on the Duan fellow.

yidengs disiples knew a lot of different skills that were equal to quezhen and HQG's school. after DGSD, XYP and Murong family seemed to disappear but they had links to the duans (through XuZhu and wang yuyan) so it's not inconcieveable that their skills entered into the duan family.
