they don't do a good job of explaining alex's position with KRW at the end. i understand they were working on a case together. no clue as to whether they both decided to work under the same law firm or not.

Actually, Alex and Hyun-woo weren't working on a case together. They were on opposing sides, Alex defending DA Chemicals, Hyun-woo against DA chemicals but at the end, after Alex lost that basketball match with Hyun-woo and Hyun-woo said the loser is to give up the case and then also after Su-in went to talk to Alex and he cried to her, I think he realised that he shouldn't be defending DA chemicals since they were in the wrong in the first place. So at the trial, it turned out that he had gotten in touch with Hyun-woo and he was to become a witness against the DA chemicals he was going to defend when the case goes to USA.

Since he did such a thing, he got his lawyer license suspended because a lawyer is not supposed to do that, how can his future clients trust him after this. But good for him, their Asian Professor wrote a testimonial about him to Harvard, I believe to recommend him to be a lecturer there. If you recall, in the last episode, he and Hyun-woo played another basketball match and Hyun-woo told him then that now the law students have not only Keynes to fear since now Alex is going to be teaching too. Hyun-woo also asked him whether he regretted doing what he did and giving up law.
