TristeCoeur on Lady Yang: Someone needs 2 tell her that when u want 2 save people from being killed, u need to hurry the hell up, not play bull#### music & dance around. Her mission failed big time

    Default ultimate hero moment

In my opinion, the ultimate hero moment is Guo Jing escorting the villagers through the gates of Xiang Yang. The mongolians were using an old war tactic to get past the gates - chasing and pushing villagers toward the gate in hopes the gatekeepers feel sorry for the villagers being killed and opening the gate. The gate keeper, not wanting to give the mongolians what they want refused to open the gate (understandable). Guo Jing understood the tactic too, but the guy was too much of a hero to stand by and do nothing. He goes down there with some Dali guards and beggars to try and fight off the Mongolians. The gatekeeper, probably feelign ashamed in comparison with Guo Jing's selflessness opened the gate. Guo Jing stayed behind and fought off the Mongolians, ensuring that every villager crossed the gate b4 he woudl even try and go past. When it appeared that the gates woudl be passed by the Mongolians, he ordered them to shut the gates - locking himself outside, almost assuring himself of death.

Most of you guys, are familiar with that scene, but its grand aura I believe shoudl be described again. There is no way I can do that scene justice.
This is the wuxia scene that brought me closest to tears.

I am a big, big fan of Yang Guo but Guo Jing - no one in wuxia did more with what they had nor did any one give more in respects to what they had then Guo Jing.
Both guys did alot - equally much in absolute terms, but Guo Jing had less to begin with, so he is the bigger hero.

I like how Gwok Jing punctuated that grand performance by shooting three arrows (and reminding us what he first became famous for) that deflected the Golden Wheel Monk's arrow, broke the monk's bow, and impaled the Mongol flag. That sent the Mongols running with their tails between their legs.

Don't forget how upon shooting the arrows, his first thought was that "man those mongolian soldiers are really tough, how can our soldiers compete" - not "did you guys see what I just did?" He didn't think much of his glory, his whole heart was into defending the city and helping others.

In the old LOCH (1980?), right before Huang Rong gets captured by Ao Yang Feng at the old temple place, there's this one scene where Guo Jing's Big Teacher--for lack of a better word--(the blind one) gets injured in the leg and refuses to accept her help. She says something along the lines of, "You don't want revenge, but I do." Then she does her smirk thing and then gets all mean-looking. Hehe...I love that part...

Also, in HSDS 2000, after the whole kissing scene between ZWJ and ZM, when ZZR tries to kill ZM in the run-down temple. I love it cuz she's so evil and then all of a sudden, when she notices ZWJ coming, she scratches up all the evidence of her using 9 yin bai gu zhang, and composes herself just like that.

One more in the same series...The wedding scene. Must i say anymore? Honestly, that must be one of THE most I'm not sure what to call it scenes I've ever watched. Charmaine Sheh did an excellent job as ZZR. I gotta tell ya, I've watched four different versions of HSDS and I gotta say that Charmaine Sheh best ZZR out of all of them. Guan Yuan Yuan was pretty good too, but it was too obvious that she was gonna go bad. Part of that was whoever directed or wrote the script, but that scene was just...man!

There's a bunch more of favorite scenes for me, but I cant think right now, partly cuz I'm dreading doing my homework...

after reading so much i feel like my favorite moments seemed a bit lame.

    not in order...

in ROCH near the start when XLN wanted YG to leave so that LMC won't kill him...they held hands and she was walking him out...he commented on how for the first time her hand was warm.

in DOMD when WSB was reading the letter KS wrote to him (well drew) about how he helped KS and how they played together.

in LOCH when GJ though HYS killed his sifu's and HR fainted, he wanted to hit her but his other hand came out to stop the hand that was about to hit her.

in HSDS when ZWJ met with his godfather again...

    n...
definitely one of mine too. love the time they spent together in the tomb. and all the scenes where the couple are together esp when they left passionless valley to get GJ and HY heads. they first stop on this mountain and YG said sth about not going to kill anyone and just make their 18 days of what left of his life worthwhile together. and then XLN threw herself into his arms and sob saying sth like how can 18 days be enuf. she want hundred, thousands and ten thousands of years more with him.....

ha ha ha ok ok i know it's lame but i guess that's one of my fav scene in wuxia stories.

best moments is when any of the main characters show off there new skills. thats probably only reason i like watching the heaven sword dragon sabre 2000. it had more fight and the music hypes it up whenever wuji did his magic stance or solar stance or something.

thats also probably why i like the tvb versions, they have more emphasis in those smokey explosions whenever they shoot some dragon power or chi blast or something.

I love the scene of Huang Yaoshi and Yang Guo revealing themselves after killing Huodu, appearing in midair underneath the moonlight like divine figures, holding each other's hand as they descended to the ground from above.

I must also say something about the scene when Yang Guo felt like Yideng and Xiao Longnu were soul mates. It shows her intelligence to understand sophisticated matters.

When Yang Guo and Ouyang Feng bonded and practiced the toad stance. Loveliest relationship in all of ROCH.
